Also, when you pull the BBB back to cock it, it sucks in air and sucks darts out of the barrel into the plunger. If you shoot, the dart is squished and you have to open the gun to remove the dart. Is there a way to fix this, or do I just have to cock before loading?

To make a general purpose barrel, nest a 2.5" long crayola or brass barrel in the back end of a standard PVC barrel. Your Nerf micro performance will improve a bit and your stefan micro performance will improve a bunch. You'll also be able to shoot stefan megas in a pinch though the performance there will be sub-standard.

Should a PVC or brass it? I was thinking brass now because it can still fit nerf micros, just they don't go in the whole way. What is good length? I was thinking 6".

Nerf micro: PVC, about 6"
Stefan micro: telescoped brass breech loader, 7" total
Brass sux0rz in spring guns unless you telescope it. Nerf micros sux0r in brass no matter what. If you did a brass barrel and stuck a Nerf micro in up to the tip, you'd get maybe 15'.

Wait... I got it! In your article you said to put the telescoping brass barrel in PVC so you can attach it to a coupler, making a breech loader. Doesn't that mean I could just put in regular PVC to shoot Nerf micros? Will that work?

1. Get a 1/2" PVC coupler and some 1/2" PVC.
2. Saw the original barrel down to a 1" stub.
3. Epoxy the coupler over the stub. If there's a big gap between the two, use electrical tape and hotglue instead. If it doesn't fit, sand down the outside of the stub until it does.
4. Cut two pieces of PVC, one 6" and the other 4".
5. Find the size of K&S brass that fits your darts perfectly - you want a nice sliding fit without a big gap, buy a foot of that, and a foot of one size smaller. The smaller size should not allow your dart to move unless you shove/twist the dart in with your hand.
6. The two pieces of brass should nest very precisely.
7. Cut 7" of the bigger size brass and 1/2" of the smaller size.
8. Epoxy the 1/2" piece in the end of the 7" piece.
9. Dry overnight.
10. Wrap the end with the 1/2" piece in a few layers of electrical tape, one ring right at the end and one 3" down the barrel.
11. Adjust electrical tape amount until you can just barely jam it into the 4" chunk of PVC.
12. The end of the PVC, the end of the 7" brass, and the end of the 1/2" brass should all line up.
13. Revel in the presence of the master.
You now have a convertible PVC/nested brass breech loading BBB.

10" long 1/2" diameter PVC
7" of "perfect" size brass
1/2" of brass 1/64" smaller in diameter (is it 1/64" or 1/32"?)
1/2" PVC coupler
Epoxy
Electrical tape
How much do yot think that will go up to?
Also, how well do BBB arrows fit over PVC?

You'll find K&S brass at Ace Hardware and some hobby shops. You may want to call around to make sure they have it. It comes in 1' pieces. Steelworks brass is bigger wall thickness and should be avoided but it may work for your FBR. You can find Steelworks brass at Lowes and OSH.
The arrows should fit over the 3" of exposed brass on your brass barrel.
