Ok so I got a older EaB from a friend for like 40 stefans. It was pretty beat up, but it worked fine. So i'm thinking "wow, on NH it said this gun can get 75 ft." It gets about 22 ft. Ok, lets try the NHQ one: gets about 22 ft. again! What about Nerf World? Gets about 26 ft. Ok, lets try Yakman's mod. I think this one got about 14.
Thus, here I am. Any suggestions?

Obviously you are doing something WRONG that you have kept on doing. either that or your eab has had problems and no matter what you do it will still suck.

Shut up. Just shut up. The guy, you are in NO position to insult him, unless he has pictures up and something is CLEARLY wrong. If you don't have anything to contribute, I suggest you take a scissors and cut off your hands so nobody has to deal with your unfounded insults. I've seen enough idiots on NHQ insulting other people without justification, you've just pushed me over the edge. Shutup and sit in a hole unless you have something to contribute.

Jin, check your plunger seal- if you did any spring modification or added bands, there's the posibility that the plunger sides have actually bent inwards, causing a poor seal. That's what I think may be the problem, as it was the problem with mine. I suggest a good bit of tape, maybe e-tape or masking tape, around the edge of the plunger head to increase efficiency. That's the main problem I'd see with an EAB, or if the very tip is cracked somehow and is actually leaking. Epoxy, goop, or even hot glue may solve that problem.

Definitely either a plunger head issue (as already suggested) or a barrel seal issue. What size and weight darts? What barrel material? How are you attaching the barrel? Any spring replacement or banding?

Just a suggestion for Cx's possibility of a bad barrel/plunger tube problem- Try ramming a 1/2 coupler down the stock back part of the barrel, you SHOULD get a tight fit. If not, wrap some duct tape and shove it down again. Good luck.

If you look at his post, he actually doesn't mention anything about him modding it at all. I think it's just stock and he does not realise that the 75ft. range can only be achieved after modfiying it.

Ok, fuck you dipshit. I am not a sped ed. Of course I know you have to modify the gun, Jesus Christ. When I listed all of those mods i did them all exactly the way they were done in the mod. I know my barrel seal is good but the plunger this may be it, so I am going to try it. Thanks for the help ompa and Cx.

You know man I have the same problem with my EABs, I have 2 and both have the same problems, I got them nib, took 'em out, modded 'em and if the plunger even stays back the dart hardly shoots, most of the time the plunger can't even stay back though. I've given up on them.

I had the same problem with my EAB, The plungerhead was screwed, so what I did was:

-Cut the part off that used to have the extending barrel in it, and somehow fit it in the old plungertube... yes it is now the NEW plungertube.
-If you look at the plungerhead you'll notice there's a thick part and a thinner part, cut the thinner part off untill your only left with the thicker part, make sure it is perfectly round...yes yoour plungerhead is smaller now.
-Now the smaller plungerhead fits in the new plungertube.

I get over 60 ft with this mod. With those awesome red refill darts.
