I just got dones testing the new $19.99 zing ring launcher that I got from k-mart. It does shoot between 150-90 feet, I measured it and its average was about 120ft as stated on the box. It's essentially a bigger vortex ring shooter with similiar charactersitcs except that you ahve to manually let go of it. It is propopelled by 2 surgical tubing pieces in which tension is increased by twisting it and pulling back then releasing it.
Pics will be up soon, as soon as I can get a pic on image shack.

Ya you calod easily just from surgical tubing and some pvc and a dinner plate. I was just bored. You could easily attach some thicker surgical tubing and/or some more tubing bands to it for better range/accuracy. Thanks for the pic jangadance. here's a better pic:Posted Image

I'll have to vist my local Meijer's.

How much power does this thing have? Does it distort the human body?

iT'S ABOUT AS DURABLE AS NERF GUN, the foam is quite hard, probably has as much durability as any nerf gun.

it's made of STYROfoam, so far less durable than the crosed-cell nerf ammo is made of.

Ya but it pretty hard, though it scratches very easy. It would be hard to harm the function of the weapon though.
