A while ago I did the Sm 5000 mod in the Mods section, and it worked all right. I didn't get a whole lot of power though. So I took my 1/2 glass shot slingshot ammo, cut the suction cups of of my mega darts, and used some electrical tape and taped the slingsot ammo on the end of my darts. I made the darts about 2 inches long. Anything under or over that will lose range and power. Anyway, I did this while we were moving, so I found a big box and flattened it so there were two layers of cardboard. The I backed up 50 ft. and shot the darts at the target.(the cardboard) The darts went straight through both layers of cardboard and out the other end. I s###t you not.
I also put a sharp tip on the end of another dart, but that was not areodynamic at all. I think that the round end of the dart greatly increased power.
Some of you may remember the post by the guy who made darts that shot through cardboard..... these are better.Booyah

You just taped the weight in? Thats extremely dangerous, its going to come out, tape is no where near strong enough. Oh, and "heavy duty" darts have no place in a war, but they are fun to mess around with.

No, actually the tape has worked very well, and none of the dart heads have ever come out.

My guns do the same thing; my sm750, at2k's, sm5k's, and even my Maximizer on a good day. Well, the Maximizer does one sheet of cardboard, but it's a cocking gun.

Point is, many pump guns SHOULD shoot through cardboard, especially with micro stefans.

This thread makes me laugh because you all have Dilbert icons.

We shouldn't have butted in with our non-Dilbert images.

Power is nothing compared to accuracy. Who cares if it can shoot through a house if you can't even hit the house?

Yes, but who cares if you can hit the house if the dart cant reach the house... Then again, you could always hurl the gun...

Let me rearrange that for ya:

the dart cant reach the house (so) who cares if you can hit the house

Even though of course you can't hit the house if the dart doesn't reach it. You do have a good point about throwing the gun, though, I think I may have tried that before...Good ol' RF20, always never worked when I needed you to.

That reminds me of my old mod write-up I did for the comm-links. It involved a hacksaw, a lot of foam, some duct tape, and a good throwing arm.
