Probably because that would look just nasty. Target has this stuff called "Goo Gone", and it is safe to use on all surfaces. I would try that out.Why don't you just paint over it?

I was worried that some products might be damaging to the plastic the shell is made of, and Dan seems to agree. Its not like paint stripper is going to empty my bank account.Or you could not bother buying anything new. You could just try out any Metho/Turps/Other shit you have lying around your house. It works wonders on everything ... removing graffiti[sp] from tables etc.

im not entirely certain, but oven cleaner mabey if i remember correctly? I dont remember, that might just be comming outta my ass.
I do remember however there is a plastic specific stripper, you can find it at those hobby stores that do the model trains.
ill post something more specific if i find out exactly what it is.
