Aquabat, I'm guessing you're probably more excited about Return of the King in December?

Most Deifinitely. I much more for fantasy than sci-fi, though i haven't seen a whole lot of sci-fi, i still prefer elves to aliens anyday.

Here, here, Aquabat. Although, I'm just as much of a sci-fi nut as I am a fantasy nut....

Still, my heart belongs to LOTR. I'm a COMPLETE fantasy whore. ;)

The man behind the curtain?

Supposedly that's Seraph, the new Chinese guy who joins the fight for Zion. If you saw the "Enter the Matrix" game trailer, he's the guy who does a stationary flip kick to disarm a guy who pulls a gun on him.

Cxwq, I can't find a place to purchase tickets. It gives me this thing about my area code, and how there aren't any theatres within my area code...there are though.

How many weeks until I can call theatres and buy tickets from them, do you think?

Oh, and Julie, tell Kev to check his mail!!! You guys need to look over something I sent you, ASAP.

Yeah, apparently he just wanted more moola for the moovie, which I kinda find hard to believe.

They offered him 3 million for both sequels, which, despite the guaranteed popularity and exposure of the films, is simply chump change. The main stars are gettin 30 million a piece, and considering the international appeal of Jet Li, such a discrepency in pay is kinda' ridiculous. I think he asked for 9 and they flat out told him they could get someone else. This came out about the time when people were saying Woo-Ping's action budget was being cut, so I've pretty much been slightly turned off from this movie ever since. I mean, watch Fist of Legend once and you'll want to get your hands around the production company's collective throats.

3 million? Wow I didn't know they made an offer that low. Especially to a man who could of easily kicked all their asses...interesting story there, VACC.

Anyone heard about the upcoming Matrix game for Gamecube (and PC too i think)? It looks quite awesome. It follows a parallel story line as that of Neo and the gang in the new movies. You get to chose from two playable character, one being a pilot in for the Zion fleet, and another was described as "a Zen Buddist Apache assassin." Sounds sweet to me! It also dosen't seem to be a James bond style shoot 'em up, but rather a Kung Fu type game, where you're encouraged to physically attack your foes rather than fill them with lead. Sounds like a good deviation from the norm, something new. But the part of the game that sounds the best is that you can Hack the game. Yes, hack. There is some feature where you can hack into the Matrix and get better guns/abilities/stats etc. for your characters. It seems they'll make it quite hard to hack, which is good, so the game won't be overly easy. But i'm very excited to see how the game turns out, some of the screen shots look awesome. It's coming out the same day as the movie (may 15th). Heres a site if you wanna check out some screen shots go here

yes.......... i always get that response when i say i like nintendo. Most people label it as a "kids" gaming system. There have been NUMEROUS good games for teenagers, Golden Eye, Perfect Dark, Matrix, Zelda series (yes it's more gearded twoards kids, but the games are awesome), and of course there's plenty more. I guess i would call myself a loyal nintendo gamer. Oh well, you guys can have you're X-boxes and PS2's, i'm just happy with my Gamecube.

It's ALL about Zelda, man. I LOVE those games. Ask Spoon, I'm horrifically addicted. It's sickening even to me...

Yeah, Gamecube kicks. PS2 is horribly outdated, and it's graphics suck. XBOX has some signature games, but most of their games you can buy on PS2 and Gamecube also. From what I've seen, Gamecube has the most games that are only for Gamecube. And the controller is so damn comfortable. That whole "kiddy system" crap is stupid. We have a ton of kick-ass games: Resident Evil, Zelda, SuperSmash Bros. Melee, etc.

Gamecube is most compatible, user-friendly, and fastest loading system out there. Of all of it's features I only see one downfall. With PS2 and XBOX you can burn games. Alas, with Gamecube it's impossible.

You can get it in black too. Wait, was I legally allowed to say that, or am I going to be called a racist?

It's actually avaliable in a platinum color as well, which is pretty tight looking. But, who cares if the system is purple? "never judge a book by it's cover"

and we should be getting back to topic......... anyone seen the Animatrix shorts? It looks like they're coming out on DVD the day Reloaded comes out.

Everything happens May 15.

Reloaded, ETM, Animatrix, and I become a lifeless son of a bitch who plans to sit on my ass for a week straight after experiencing them all! You will not see me outside of the house for a week. Yup...

Hmmh...many of you seem very worried that this on will not be as good as the first. But it depends on how you look at it. if you liek the philisophical dimensions that the first one brought to the table (the whole, our world isnt real and what not) then you might be a little let down. but if you liked the Matrix for its kickass fighting sceens, and eye-poping visual effects i garentee you wont be let down. look at the trailer for realoaded. i had a seizure when i say it. the moive looks so amazing. with the new characters and diffrences in plot, i think this moive will be a fine match for its older brother. it may very well end up doing better. i urge you to go see this movie. also, if you like the matrix, like yours truly, go to My Webpage
this has 3 (soon to be 4) small animated shows of the matrix's past, and how it came to be. they are not some cheap rip offs of the movie either, they are directed by the same people that did the movie. please, for the sake of all movies go see this one. it will be a classic, and if its not...um...you can yell at me or something. seriously though, this will be a great moive. CLASSIC. thats all i have to say
