Now I know that many people have posted about problems with their AT2Ks, but I didn't find any that fit the profile of my problem. I plugged the over-pressure release valve on both the red and blue AT2Ks that I bought from Target. The red one works great; couldn't be happier with it. The blue one, however, fails to pump correctly. When I pull OUT on the pump there is resistance, and when I push the pump back into the gun, there is absolutely no resistance, opposite of all my other Nerf guns. It's like the pump is sucking air out of the tank. I tried pumping it slowly, and noticed resistance when I pulled out AND pushed back in...that sounded gross.

I opened up both guns, switched the pumps and got the same result. The pump from the red AT2K worked fine on the blue AT2Ks innards, but the blue AT2Ks pump just sucked again on the red AT2Ks innards. Any advice or expertise anyone could share on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

Check valve was put in backwards? Does the resistance get higher as you pump it more? Also, does the tubing shrink when you pull the pump out? (I see this thread as getting to be a great source for Perverted Nerf Quote type-slogan-threads...)

Sorry for the late reply. I've been working at Target all day. Some lady bought every freaking Nite Finder that we had on the shelves. Anyways, I do notice that the gun does get harder to pump the more that I do it (teehee). Actually, on the out-pump, the guns resistance pretty much stays the same. But on the more that I pump the gun up (about 4 pumps before I really feel it) the harder it is to PUSH the pump back into the gun. No, the tubing does not shrink when I pull the pump out.

I checked each AT2Ks innards, and there appears to be no difference. Well, on the blue broken one, the little connector that hooks the yellow tube up to the liquitron gauge was much closer to the gauge than on the working red one. I unscrewed it a little; no difference.

OK, I just noticed that when I pull the pump OUT, the liquid in the gauge drops ever so slightly, and the liquid only goes up when i push the pump back in. Only on that first pump does the liquid drop a bit. Shoot.

Thanks for the help, GeneralPrimevil, but I'm still stumped here. Has anyone had experience with this type of problem? I'd be grateful for the input.
