I have a few games lined up, the one I am most excited about is probably MGS3: Snake Eater, I liked vietcong, but hated some aspects of it, particularly Jungle Warfare was pretty much green-urban warfare seeing as survival was a distant second to shooting VC or Americans. Don't get me started on Battlefield Vietnam. Jungle Warfare and Solid Snake... guy sounds like an awesome combo.

SPlinter Cell 3 looks like it will take over the Stealth Action Franchise however. Snake eater looks as though it will abandon some of the conventions of Metal Gear Solid and opt for a more realistic Outdoorsy scenario (wise move Konami), but Sam Fisher picked up where Solid Snake left off. New Gadgets, COOP multiplayer, and hopefully the same rock-solid plot found in Pandora Tomorrow. SC3: Chaos Theory looks like it will be another game I call in sick to play

Resident Evil 4 looks quite nice, less like a zombie game, though. Resident Evil 0 was essentially the exact balance I wanted in a Zombie Game, this looks more like Dino Crisis, but it looks like bad ass Dino Crisis.

But for computer games, a decent version of Counter-Strike is what I look forward to. I am tired of playing Dust and a couple of shit third party maps in CS:S. The game dynamics are close to perfect, including weapon balance (which I pray they don't fuck up, everything is where it should be). Perhaps 2 more weapons for variety, the same way the Galil and Famas were thrown in, to fill the gap between Submachine gun and Assault rifle. Perhaps a pistol, shotgun, or MG is slated, but I do have some doubts that Valve would do this.

Half-Life 2 looks good assuming it will come out... ever. The physics are better than Doom 3, and it looks like a flexible engine that will prove to be superior in terms of mods which is very good. I also dig the way single-player looks, running around in eastern europe chucking spider-grenades at marines gives me goosebumps. Multiplayer is iffy unless mods or Coop shows up.

Doom 3 is possibly the prettiest game I have ever seen. Also the smoothest running considering the graphics. I love the single-player and can't wait for their Team Fortress clone to come out. I hope Quake 4 will come out soon to take back multiplayer from HL2 (assuming HL2 comes out before this :P) and from UT2004.

UT 2004 impressed me for about a week, then I just set it down and never went back to it. Perhaps a negative association I built while watching the "Dirty Harry" collection whilst playing, or maybe the bloody feces, but I'm not sure. It is a solid game however. Just... not my solid game.

EDIT:

What.... the fuck?

Well Gabe's getting a dildo in his mail box for this. Fedral offense right there, Mailbox sodomy and tampering with fedral property.

Ah yes, multiplayer. Something we dont see much in the FPS genre.

wtf? Go play half-life mods. 99% of them are multiplayer ONLY. Unreal Tourney? Tribes? Quakes were multiplayer intensive, single player was a JOKE.

Multiplayer in the FPS genre for computers is rampant and popular. Multiplayer for consoles... like what was said earlier, people are hailing it as some new technology... when its been out for years.

I'm hoping your kidding, because he was too.

Halo 2 looks cool.

And I want a sequal to Crimson Skies.

I was being sarcastic about the multiplayer thing.

They did a sequel to Crimson Skies already. Its XBox only tho.
Or are you talking about Crimson Skies: High Road to Revence, which was actually a sequel to the original PC title? That was a great game, and I also want a thrid Crimson Skies game. Ive played the crap out of both the original and High Road, loved them both.

As for HL2, the mods WILL come, thats whats so great. There is already a huge base of modders just dying to be the next big HL mod. They already have DoD announced, and the fan-made mods will surely be stunning, just as they are for the original.

Whoops I didn't see the sarcasm at the time Fuse. I actually thought you were being serious and I just had to jump on the reply button.

You are correct, sir. I did mean a sequal to the totally awesome High Road to Revenge.

I know you said not to do this, but...

Your options suck. According to Electronic Gaming Monthly's official polls, Halo 2 is actually 3rd for the "Most Anticipated Game". Number one is the new Legend of Zelda, and the second is Metroid Prime 2, both of which you forgot to add to your list.

Why on eart would they pick those two to top off the list for "most anticipated game"? Good games, but they are both sequels to an already exploited genre.

Just rented SH4: the Room, impressed with it, nice graphics, but the fact that there is an alternate dimension in the shitter makes me want to make a retarded home-movie parody. Unfortunately my camera is somewhere in New Jersey getting repaired. Should a member of the Lawn Chair Mafia start pillaging, look for the out-of-date DV camcorder with "I like Bukkake" laser engraved on the side and mail it to the below address:

If CS:S falls under HL2, then HL2 hand fucking down. CS:S is amazing.

Well, I based my "sucky" options on Xbox.(Gamecube scares me) I had to base them on something. I hope this does'nt hurt you to an unrepairable extent.
Yeah a sequel to Crimson Skies High Road To Revenge would be cool.
In my opinion, Half-Life 2 will be the second best game, next to you know what.(Halo 2)

Actually, they didn't create the list. Over at 1up.com, they have a poll, and those are the results.

More then half the games are Nintendo games, just so you know.

Im still waiting for someone to make a point that pushed Halo 2 over Half-Life 2. Im not trying to be an a-hole, I am honestly curious as to why you guys are picking it.

"Multiplayer" is not a good enough reason, HL2 has it, and will have more variety due to mods. Thats like saying Halo 2 is better because "Guns".

Well, I think everyone has there own right to think wich one is better. Personally, I like Halo 2 because its less dark and creepy than Half-Life 2. (Not that I'm afraid  ) But I think Half-Life 2 will come very close for me. I also like the co-op feture, since I like to play with my brother. So those couple things won ME over. Once again, everyone is different, and has there own opinion.
