Police Report:

59 Dead In Church Self Suicide

Yesterday, police were called to the scene of what appeared to be a massive group suicide. Witnesses reported that a masked man, armed with what appeared to be dirty magazines, had entered the Crazy Christian Church on main street, around 10:00 am. Witnesses say that shortly after the man entered, he was heard to have said "Woo! Woo! Dirty Magazines!". Witnesses then described that the entire congregation had fled the building, and then attempted to kill themselves with the nearest available objects. "It was crazy," said Bob Boberson, who was there at the time, "people where insane. They were trying to gouge out there eyes with fenceposts and crap." Police apprehended a suspect shortly afterward, by the name of Teh Inturnet. He is sentenced to appear in court on misdemeanor charges. "I feel this case my take a long time" said juror Ned Nederland, "i think the evidence needs some really careful scrutiny. It's going to take us ages to scrutinize this stuff."

Anyone else notice this? Great joke, I may have to print that out, or memorize it.

I don't mean to be offensive or anything, but I believe that many churches are taking it too far in their fight against pr0n. In my personal beliefs, the reason why pr0n is such a sketchy ordeal is because it sometimes causes people (mainly those with mental disorders) to commit certain acts such as diddle. As long as you view pr0n responsibly (i.e., keeping sexual urges to yourself and/or your significant other if they have no problem with it) I don't see anything wrong with it. People have natural desires, and the churches will be damned if they let it slip past them.

I still don't get why sex is such a taboo discussion within many christain groups. Like drinking, sex should be taken responsibly. For many people, their church is their deepest spiritual connection, and yet they seem forced to feel guilty just because they saw someone naked. "Oh no! I saw a breast! I'm going to HELL!" It's certain forced moral spins like these that keep me from being affiliated with any organized religion.

Edit: About the movie, that was probably the worst reaction to pr0n that I have ever seen. Good luck trying to explain to your boss that you smashed the company PC because you saw a pr0n popup. I can see it now:

Boss: Johnson, could you please explain to me why your workstation was destroyed? It looks like you were using your PC for target practice. Did you just had a hard day at work yesterday?

Johnson: All those popups advertising naked girls! I had to do something to destroy the evils.

Boss: Have you heard of the little "x" button on the top of the popup? Why didn't you just close it? I had it with you destroying company property! You're fired!

I wouldn't say all churches are taking it to the extreme, just a small portion of some churches. I go to church every Sunday and am a Christian. I think that there mihgt be a few churches and groups that do this. :D I personally think its crazy.I think pr0n sucks and gives people bad impressions and is not good for the brain. But belaive what you want, thats just me. ^_^

I'm not encouraging people to view pr0n, I am just stating about how pissed off I am how certain churches think people are evil because of their personal habits. My parents are christain, and the last time I came over, my mom had the TV tuned to one of the religious channels. I remember they had an interview with a married couple with the husband who had a pr0n habit. It seemed to me that his habits were very mild (not even as bad or just as bad as most of 20ish guys I know) compared to some of the more extreme cases I have heard about, and they seemed to give him this perverted asshole image on the interview.

My point is just because someone likes to see naked pictures of women does not make them an evil person, unless they go out and actually do certain terrible things such as diddle, pedophilia, sexual harrassment, etc.

I agree with you that people who look at that stuff aren't evil but it not a good habit. I would kinda agree wiht hte station in giving people the impression that he is perveted, but not very much. Vewing pr0n is a bad habit and is not right.

But It's not my decision to tell people whats right and wrong, just stating my opinion. :D

Chessler, I would think that words like that are for people to decide if they are wrong now other uh worse words I would say are bad.

That's what I initially thought, but the web address gives it away. If someone really wants pr0n, they can just do a google search or something.

I don't really care what people do with themselves or their own time, as long as they aren't harming or irritating others (irritating needlessly, I think I should add). Pr0n, in my mind, falls into that catagory. I think the reason why some/most churches have such a big deal with it is that it represents being sexually immoral, however much the video/medium itself is not. I went to church for the first time in about a year yesterday, and during his sermon, he made several jokes about sex. He said something to the effect of that being sexually immoral is sinful, that you should not do it, but that marriage was created for the reason so that it could be enjoyed without being deviant in relationships with other people, or something like that. I think a lot of hardline Christian groups make a big deal out of though simply because they can; it gives them something more to voice their opinion about. The Christians and TV run by them that portray "sinful" people as "bad people" do that on purpose, obviously, and you probably were not mistaken in noticing it. Most media does this, from the news, to interview shows, to everything else. Its stereotyping, but its done mildly so the vast number of viewers don't notice it, but it still has a subcontious effect that gradually increases over time. Its like calling political or interest group meetings "rallies" calling the Brady bill the "gun ban" (just to note, I am pro-gun and more of a liberal). So yeah, my spiel (means "play" in German, lol).

Oh...man...

My mom is like super-christian or something. She honestly believes that porn has come from the devil to take over people's souls. I mean my mom is the nicest, kindest lady in the world, but if I ever brought up "porn", my mom would immerse me in the bible and baptise me on the spot.

I remember when I was like 8 years old, I wanted to be James Bond when I grew up. I told my mom this, and got back "Michael, you know that he's not married to those women. He's just living in sin. You should never be like James Bond."
Damn, I didn't even like girls when I was 8 years old. I just thought all the gadgets he had were really cool and shooting people would be fun.

Oruku_Saki, that little dialogue you made up...that was hilarious.

He he! I saw that a while back and it still makes me giggle. It's office space taken badly overboard, but I still find the thought of somebody annihilating their computer everytime they see porno. I would go through soooooo many computers if I were to practice this.

Hrm, one thing I have yet to see anyone point out is that they have produced other videos, one of which I am watching now, but not entirely certain that it shares the same quality. So far, it's a nay. However, it <i>does</i> make me want to break a few commandments.

This one should have ended with a Goatse at the end of the hall, but that would kinda be counter-productive to their message, perhaps I could throw one in!

EDIT:

Ooh! This one is actually kinda funny:

That is so messed up. That guy would feel the end of the asp my dad keeps in his car.
What a dickweed. Them guys be smokin' something. So much of that crap is bull, i don't give a rip if they think they are more holy than thou. Static discharge? What the heck? Since when did they make cell phones with lighters? At least the guy pulled over...

Although cellphones with lighters would be kind of cool.

Static discharge doesn't have anything to do with fire, really. Getting out of your car (mostly if you have cloth seats), you create a small static charge. If you don't dissipate this charge by touching something metal like a post or your hood before touching the pump nozzle, you could...explode. This can also happen if you get into your car and wait for the pumping to finish, then get out and grab the nozzle. Some gas stations have warnings and such posted on their pumps. If you did not know what "static discharge" was, now you know.

And knowing is half the battle.

On the show Myth Busters they disproved that myth. Though it was highly unscientific, I still agree with them and doubt that the small spark from a static charge could ignite gasoline.

Well that makes me kinda wonder why they still have those warnings on gas pumps. Just noticed that you put "ignite gasoline". It's the fumes that actually are flammable. But yeah, MythBusters isn't the most scientific/trustworthy show. It is still fun to watch them blow stuff up, though.
