Hey dude, happy birthday! Today happens to be my mother's 47th birthday aswell, cool coincidence. I haven't started a topic in a while, wow.

Have a great day, I hope you get your driver's license soon, maybe you could drive up to Buffalo =P for November.

What are you doing for your B-day?

*Cue Mike's HappyVACCday song...*

Later dude.

Not in the game anymore, but it was great while it lasted. Thanks for the great years of fun, NH!

Wow, happy birthday. You're younger than I thought you were. Hey, did you know that the legal age of sexual consent is 14 in Canada? Next year, baby, the cross country team's takin' me out there...

I'm not going to ask. Well in MD, the legal age of consent is 16, so, I can now have consensual sex with a 90 year old man...(technically)

How old did you think I was?

Shit, our orchestra's going to Canada next year, with all the freshman, who happen to be 14-15... Oh dear god, we have enough sluts in the lower orchestra (our orchestra is split into two) to fill a warehouse. *shiver* Someone send me a tazer or something... God the thought is just... oh god it's horrible. Air knows what I mean. Just, wow.

chrylo, why on earth did you have to bring that up?

Hey, I didn't know you were on the CC team. I was on the CC and track team all four years of high school (made captain my senior year, not to brag or anything) . What's your best time so far? Oh yeah, happy friggin' birthday, cranky!

I've been injured this season-knee.
Last season I ran a 22:02. Not too bad for freshman year, not great though. You guys?

And, thanks everyone!

My last race (on Thursday, actually) was 21:13...tied my PR from last year. Not bad for 3rd meet of the year...but sucks in comparison to other kids in my grade...Lotta them on varsity. Holy crap, there is this kid in our division, from a different school who is a FRESHMAN, and he got second place with a time of 15:47. Yes, he is only a freshman. We're screwed for the rest of our high school career...

Well my best EVER was my freshman year at our 5th meet, at The University of Texas at Austin. Awesome course. I got 10th place out of 150, with a time of 16:46 on junior varsity. It was weird, cause I caught up to some guy and was just running with him, and we started talking in-between gasps for oxygen. That pushed us, cause we kept going faster and faster. BUT... the rest of my years through high school...my best sophmore year was an 18:30 (rib injury from lacrosse), junior year was a 17:50, and senior year was a 17:19. I don't know why, but I could never top that freshman year time...weird .

But just keep with it guys, you will improve A LOT. Run as hard as you can in practice (pretend it's a race and try to pace with someone a lil better than you), and run on your own time, too. It also helps to sprint at the end of your practice run like you would in a race. Sorry, that's just the captain in me speaking. But good luck this year guys.

Well, I assume you guys are talking about 5 kilometers. If so, I can consistantly run a 22:40 5k. And I'm a freshman in high school.

Nice. My froshie year I basically had that for my time, improving by a couple a seconds each race. You'll probably break 20 next year, or this year if you work really hard.
