I'm trying to do something involving a solenoid and motion sensor. My idea is to have the motion sensor set off the valve and have it fire flour. I have found some things, but they were around $30. I want something really cheap, like 5-10 bucks. please post where to get them. The ninja is just there because i've always wanted to post a ninja.

I forgot to say that I wanted the kind that sees movement, not change in light.

Nice idea, but I think 30.00 is as cheap as it gets.

Don't worry about the things you don't know. Do sheep expand in the rain? Who discovered how to get milk from cows? And what was he doing in the first place?

How will it work though? I am not sure how you would do it. You could build a little stand from pvc, attach like a wildfire to it then attach a motion censor or even with the valve. How will it know to release the valve.

Gamefreak posted a topic about this a while back. It shows you how to do it.

It's the "MS13A Hawkeye II Motion Sensor" on this site.$18.90

I think that is as good as you will get for the price. Unless you go for one of those cheapo motion detectors for $6 through Oriental Trading Company. I don't know how well they work, but I think they are supposed to emit a sound when they detect movement. You could wire it to trip the solenoid.

You can get much further with a kind word and a gun than you can with a kind word alone

Fruity pebbles!? Those are awsome. But anyway, thanks. It seems like a neat project to use up countless hours.
