I have seen that quite some time ago, probably back at the time Bush started the Iraq war. The link is even funner when you go to Google, type in "weapons of mass destruction", and click on the "I'm feeling lucky" button.

Go to google and search for "miserable failure", and click "I'm feeling lucky".

When I did that, I got a website that talked about Bush's career and praised him. Is that supposed to be irony or something? It just didn't make sense... Why would that be a description of the website?

You can get much further with a kind word and a gun than you can with a kind word alone

You know what's really funny about the "miserable failure" search, is that if you hit the search button to bring up all the links, then the 2nd link is to a jimmy carter, and the 3rd one is to michael moore. :P

Its a technique called googlebombing. It has become more popular as people ahve tested google's algorithm for searches. Goggle's algorithm measures the relationship between links and a specified search term. Thus, a group of motivated individuals banked on the idea that not many use this search word and manipulated it. Now a group of conservative individuals are getting back at the liberals doing the same thing i.e michael moore, carter, and GW being great.
