Sounds like a snow job to me.

It's sad that I said this from the beginning. I catch onto these things quite quickly, and I knew the administration would not be long behind.

If this guy's "brother" posted all of Airsoft999's previous 80+ posts, then Airsoft999 doesn't have a Nerf building/paintball building, doesn't play hockey on the Toronto national team (which I've never hear of unless he plays for a AAA team) and is not 14. Oh, and he isn't looking for a BF either. There are countless others, but I'll leave them alone.

I must say, he's been trying to deny all of this long enough. I'm tired of this.

Chessler, use your head. Don't just ask for pictures, many people aren't going to bring around digital cameras around everywhere, and not everyone that doesn't have a digital camera has a scanner. Leave him be, the administration will decide wheather or not this guy's story holds up. Besides, I think Cx has more information regarding Airsoft than we do.

He might be the next .:blue ice:. or may not be, but hear me out. If he really did post them, and decided to apologize, why wouldn't he just PM the people he had problems with? There's always the possibility that he was genuinely worried and just decided to post his own apology.

Cx, isn't it possible that his brother/cousin, now interested in nerf, decided to sign up for the forums at the same household? If you let the new name in, why not just see what the IP's for all the posts from that name are? If they don't match, then it's not the real Airsoft999. That is, if it's not too much work for you...

There's one thing that bugs me though Airsoft- if your brother was really on your account, he must have been pretty damn well aquainted with NH, as he was trying to enforce rules alot, not something I'd expect some kid finding a link to this page would do.

I am sorry I haven't really been paying attention to many of Airsoft's posts, and the more I hear about them (especially the trading and modding ones) I am starting to question what was really going on. First, he mentions about his nephew, or cousin, or whatever, and then he says that his brother has also been using his account? After you find out that someone else has been using your account for the first time, any sane person would do anything within their abilities to make damn sure that it wouldn't happen again.

Airsoft999 uses two IP addresses regularly. One from an educational dialup account and one from a regular ISP. The new account he created was from the same IP he just posted from a few minutes before registering the account.

Airsoft999 has shown a steady progression, including the last couple weeks, of being increasingly irritating in trading threads yet more helpful and informed in all other threads. I find it difficult to believe that the account changed hands "two or three weeks ago" during the relatively vague timeframe he was out of the country. The indicators of his writing style have not changed. I find it easy to believe he's trying to find a cheap out for a few stupid comments once he started getting criticized. The new account he's trying to register is another indication of this mindset.

I deal with this about once a month, .:Blue Ice:. was just one of the more spectacular examples. It gets pretty easy to spot when you have access logs combined with an ability to recognize writing patterns.

I would have to disagree, I once posted under Thirst's name, in my own thread. (Before I registered) All he did was say that he didn't do it, but his brother. Umm, ya...like, ya.

NHQ doesn't really as harsh of a setup as NH does. I'd be slightly insulted if I ran a highly efficient forum and someone came in saying that I was going soft. Or it might just be a joke. Either way round.

Talio, maybe the lack of bloodshed is due to a lack of knowledge? He's behaved a slight bit abnormal for a troll, so we're just making sure that he IS a troll before any action takes place. I think. Or may Cx is just busy.

I haven't gone soft, it's just that the guy isn't a troll. He's a generally decent user who made a couple of dumb comments then lied to try to get out of it. I'm giving him a hard time because I think he needs to face up to his actions. As an aside, I don't need a few of you to jump to the defense of everyone who gets criticized around here. If I'm on his case I have a reason, clear?

If he continues to lie, I'll most likely suspend him indefinitely along with the other account he has waiting in the queue. I don't like people who think they can just roll themselves a new character and start over when they pick fights with the community and get in too deep.

If he comes clean I think he could earn some respect back and be a productive member. It's happened before.

Chessler, if you plan on spending most of your time on the boards posting senseless bullshit, I suggest shutting the fuck up to save us all some time. Once you can find something useful to say, get back to us sometime.

Airsoft, I think that many of us are not believing your excuses for this situation. Either at least give us a damn good explanation, or we might be having another .:Blue Ice:. episode.
