Why do people love it so much? Is is because of accuracy or nostalgia? I would rather just buy a Nitefinder than a gun that costs up to five times the amount, but that's just my opinion.

To me it's just the pimp-factor of the lnl.

The value of the LnL used to be around $25-30, due to it's sheer power for it's size. The Tech Target was released, and became an alternative. However, when Hasbro released the Nite Finder, the Lock'n'Load's value dropped. Like, a bunch. The SSII still remain a pretty popular spring powered blaster, though.

Haha, it is all about the pimp-factor. NF is heavy duty so you can put like a crap load of rubber bands and out range a LnL easy. The LnL feels like it's gonna break anytime soon.

You can hear when the heart stops. I saved the pieces when it broke and ground them all to dust.

I, for one, like the SSII much more.
But the LnL's pimpin,!
And it's more compact for those who can't take a dremel to their NF to make it smaller...

...or to those that are too lazy to.

The Sharpshooter II is my favorite pistol for rate of fire, accuracy, and power. The Lock 'n' Load, however, is the best-looking pistol, in my opinion. I hate the Sharpshooter II's look.

I hate when people diss the LNL. If properly modded its an absolute beast. PLus its got the coolest feel and look to any pistol ever. Anybody who thinks the NF is better than the LNL hasen't been nerfing long enough.

Ouch, ItalionStallion got cxwq burned~ lol.

SSII is mai favorite too. The ROF is awesome. The seal is so good that the gun'll suck down micros almost all the time so you don't need to blow or ram it it. It's a lil bigger than other pistols but the power difference is worth it.

Wow, Mine must have been deformed then, because the seal SUCKS. Does anyone have any idea from what guns a replacement plunger could be donated? As I like the feel of the gun, but frankly, right now it sucks. I'm lucky to get 50 feet off of it. It has the same range as my Secret shot 1, and that's tribarreled.

W00T! 100th post!
CX- don't post here again and make me look at your post count
Joselyn- try not to use AIM language, like lol. Use the smiley.
LDM- You have insulted me and the Sharpshooter II. I love it! And the case fits my hand like a charm.
Ompa- I've got extra plungers to many guns, if you want one. I'll give it cheap.

Advice to whatiam: Whatitis has already posted, so as CX said, don't post here.
Man, I forgot the SS1. That's nice too.

Like I said, it's my favorite pistol for performance. I could care less about the looks, I was just noting that it's not very pretty to me.

ive had this exact same question in my mind.
i just recently got into nerf, the last guns i owned was the eagle eye when i was little.
last spring i bought a nite finder cuz it reminded me of the eagle eye. when i shot it i questioned why it sounded so funny when it wasnt loaded. thus my introduction to the nerf subculture after a little research on the internet.

any hoo... with all the buzz around the LnL i had to get one. after i did boy was i dissapointed!
although it does look pimp, i dont ever use it in a gunfight. my NFs are easily expendable, they have way better internals, they are cheap, they outperform the LnL, and they really are more durable hands down... plus the NF grips are more comfy !!! <_<

besides posing for pics, i think the sun has set on the LnL's day in the sun <_<

Well, thats odd. My nightfinder gets the same range as my lockandload does, almost exactly, and I get a higher ROF with the LnL. As far as grips go, the LnL feels much better in my hand than the NF, and we all agree its pertty-er.
