I've added a new resin 3d printer, as well as a larger form FDM one to my menagerie, and so I have been thinking about making a pistol. Something that wasn't quite in reach with my first 3d printer, due to size (only up to 120mm^3 build volume), but now that I have one that does 400x400x450mm, I have a lot more room to play.
Now, I've always kinda preferred the smaller pistols. They are cheaper, easy to carry multiples, etc. Like right now, I have some of the Adventure Force Tri-Maxs, and the Jolts are cool. Simple to use, less to mess with, so you can just start flinging foam. I am kinda looking for something in that vein. Later on down the road, I'll do some bigger and fancier.
Basically, I'd like to be able to make some of these, to do nerf battles at the office or family get togethers. That way, no one has to worry about going out and getting their own guns, and if they're all using the same basic one they are on a level playing field.
I checked the one list of home mades, and they're largely PVC based as the list looks to be quite a few year old. I've did some searching, and I've seen the LF-1, MrCrankyface's "Nerf pistol with clip", and Nick Iacobbo's Perf Gun. Are there any others that'd you'd recommend? They don't have to be 100% 3d printed, but I'd like more printed than not.
