If you have gmail already, don't be greedy.

My username is a good example of what happens when you leave caps lock on.

A Gmail invite is just how it sounds - an invitation to Gmail. Should you receive one, you can use Gmail. How do you get one? Beg people that have some invites to invite. Should they invite you, the invite will be in your current e-mail.
In the past week Gmail has been giving out invites in sixes.

Are there any requisites for current g-mail users to receive invites? or no? Or is it on the site and I just can't find it?

Ompa, I have it too. What happens is that when you're a tester long enough, on the left hand side of your Inbox/current window there will be a link saying "New Invite". You click that and you can invite a person of your choice to join the G-Mail beta test. You just type their current e-mail, and boom, instant registration. What's cool is that G-Mail will know your info from your current e-mail account and pre-enter it into the form.God, but that thing was so damn funny.

I hear we are getting invites in sixes, very good if you have a crowd of MB-hungry Nerfers begging you for an account. I have 6 invites myself, but I see nobody here that I'd really give one to, so I'll save them for all of my friends.
Not in the game anymore, but it was great while it lasted. Thanks for the great years of fun, NH!

Usually within a few weeks you'll see an "Invite x friends to Gmail" link in the left column under the Inbox, Starred, Sent Mail, etc links. I've been getting invites since about a week after I signed up, there've been 4 or 5 batches of them since then.Alright- just wondering- do you have any idea what's the requisite time that you have to be a tester before you get invites?

A note of general interest: Many competing email providers (Yahoo for example) stick gmail invites in the spam/junk folder. Nice way to trash the competition. So if I say I sent you one and you don't see it, look there.
Happy Gmailing.
