I got a longshot at a yard sale recently, and I'm doing an old school brass breech. I don't want to have to order anything online if I can do it at home. I want to use a [k25] or [k26], so do I have to buy an upgraded catch or catch spring? Or will the stock longshot catch be fine?
Can a stock longshot catch take a [k26]?

It would not be a reliable catch, especially with a [k26], if it would even catch at all. Even lower kg spring usually need a better catch

You need to beef up the catch spring with ANY spring upgrade. Get something beefy and chuck it in there. The stock catch plate will hold up to just about anything, I have never seen it break.
Edit: I also just realized that I accidentally necro'd this thread. Goes to show how often I use forums now, sorry. :U
