Hey guys!

Join us for Cataclysm! This is a large, quarterly nerf war brought to you by NEO (Northeast Outings), organizers from several groups in the Northeast region.

We will be playing Flag Push, King of the Hill, Attack Defend, VIP, HvZ, HvHvZ and more!

For approximately 1 hour at around noon, there will be competitive games. During this time, casual games will still be ran so that people who don’t want to play competitively still have something awesome to do! But if you want to test your skills against the best teams in the Northeast region, form a 5-person squad and head on to the playground for some quick matches. Wins/losses/rankings will be recorded as Cataclysm will be a quarterly event. There will be no shields or Jedi in competitive rounds. The rest of the event will be casual games just like any other nerf war.

Here are the rule sets for the most popular game types:

  1. King of the Hill http://www.nycno.org...ng-of-the-hill/

  2. One-Life Deathmatch http://www.nycno.org...ife-deathmatch/

  3. Flag Push http://www.nycno.org...ypes/flag-push/

  4. King of the Hill Hard Mode http://www.nycno.org...hard-mode-koth/

Shields are permitted in all games except competitive rounds. Jedi will be permitted in Flag Push, KOTH, and possibly other games: http://www.nycno.org...difier-shields/ http://www.nycno.org.../modifier-jedi/

TLDR: Rectangular shields are maxed out at 2 x 4. Circular shields must also have an area of 8 or less, which translates to a diameter of 3.2 feet. Megas and throwables kill the shield and the user. Shield-users may only use stock blasters (excluding rival flywheel) and melee. Jedi can only use a melee weapons but they are entirely immune to normal darts. Jedi can only be killed by megas and throwables. However, they can block these with their melee weapon.

Hope to see you there! May the best team win!
