My son has a Nerf Mega Mastodon and it is not working anymore.  Ive done all the troubleshooting, disassembly, checking all the wires, gears, and connections, etc. but the motor will not turn on.  Everything else looks fine and in tact.  He did admit to jamming it so Im assuming the motor is burnt out.  What is recommended for me replacing the motor?  im not very tech savy but am willing to do the repairs if someone can help me with instructions to get this gun back up and working.  Thanks so much!

Link to mastodon mod here, looks like it doesn’t take standard hobby-grade motors so you’d need to get creative. Stock motor replacements for burnouts don’t usually exist, so you’ll need, at a minimum, to replace both flywheel motors, rewire with new switches, and get a power pack properly sized for the motors you’re using (likely a 3s LiPo with around 1500 mAh capacity and 40c).
