You can do that, but I would really recommend mosfet. It really isn't that much harder, and as the hera is basically a rival stryfe, you only have one switch to worry about. Leaving the switch exposed would be uncomfortable when running around in foam combat, and would require a LOT of shell cutting. Personally, I'd go the mosfet route, but it's really up to you. I'll leave some mosfet tutorials below. Some vendors include everything you need, and all you'd need to do is solder it up. If you don't already have it, I'd order some good soldering tweezers and helping hands from amazon to help you out. They'll make it way easier when modding electric blasters.

Another one I found specifically for the hera
I'd watch both and use the technique from FDS to wire it up. Make sure your mosfet is high amperage: if it is, it'll last forever. Another plus of mosfet is you don't have to remove the original switch, so when you cut the original loom out make sure to leave plenty of length on the rev switch.

You could use this: https://suild.com/shop/0. Easier than any microswitch and it'll take you less than 5 minutes to install. Here's a super simple tutorial too: https://www.youtube....?v=ql-5Qpvs0HA
