I'm thinking about swapping my fangs revamped Motors for a set of 180 neo hellcats. I know the hellcats have more torque then the fangs, but the fangs spin faster at 37,000 versus hellcats at 36,600. So, would the fangs shoot higher FPS numbers or does the torque of the hellcats actually transfer to hire FPS numbers??
I may go after the hellcats because of the spin up time alone, but I'm still unsure which will actually shoot harder. (depending on the flywheels of course).

Not by themselves. After ~25k RPM IIRC, the darts wont go faster; we usually have motors spinning 35k to allow for headroom when the darts hit them and drop the RPMs.

HOWEVER, 180s are generally sturdier and have more torque, which means they can still push wheels through higher crush setups where youd stall, burn out, or break 130/2s. So if you want a high crush rig, running 180s is basically the only option.

Before you ask, brushless arent strictly speaking better either. They usually get higher FPS because they allow easier customization of wheels for larger than stock diameter wheels (usually means higher FPS) or full envelopment/high concavity wheels (also usually means higher FPS). Open Flywheels should allow similar results.
