So, my headshot ammo for rival arrived from amazon today. I bought it after hearing plenty of positive reviews from sources that I trusted, but buying this type of ammo turned out to be a mistake. Several rounds came torn in half, and plenty more would only fire 10 feet or so, with some not even making it out of the barrel of my kronos. The bag it came was covered in dirt, and I had to handle it gingerly to prevent it getting on my body. On top of that, all the rounds feel harder than the ones that came with my kronos, with almost none of them achieving the same ranges. My question is: has anyone else ever had these issues? People like coop, drac and captain x all said it was good, and then I order one bag and it looks like I got a garbage batch. I knew they had issues with quality control, but I didn't know it would be this bad.

Edit:

I've fired all the balls now, and about 20 of them are either torn, or won't leave the barrel of my kronos. I didn't even take out the ones that only went about 20 feet, but I did remove the ones that I couldn't even get to leave the barrel. Do you guys know if this is an issue with this particular color of foam, and if I'd have more luck if I returned these and bought yellow?

I've used Headshot Ammo in the past, and while I've had consistency issues with some rounds being hard and some soft, they all fire just fine. I tested with my Kronos when I first got it last month, it fired the Headshot Ammo rounds as well as the Nerf Rival rounds. There is the occasional dud that might not go as far, and I think this specifically has to do with their densities. I got my batch last year, so I don't know if anything has drastically changed since then.

Those do strike me as odd, however. While I do not remember what the packaging looked like, I specifically remember getting the rounds in a little mesh bag with a carabiner clip. By the looks of things, the ones that OOD handles now seems to be the same. Yours came in this plastic bag, which may be a sign that they came from a different re-seller. The bag does say DynaMax on it, them being the sole seller of Headshot Ammo on Amazon. Just check that these do indeed have the "HS" embossed into the side of the round where the "N" should be.

Just checked the order we placed for the Headshot Ammo rounds last year, and the price has went down significantly, from $21.95 then to $12.85 now, so that's something to consider. I've really never had experience with getting fakes or items with deceptively misleading photos on Amazon, but I think you should probably contact the seller directly in this case. You should also probably try OOD's etsy next time, I wouldn't imagine that they would sell you something so crummy.

Yeah, I was really surprised with how crummy these were. It's worth it to pay a little more and get a higher quality product, as this is just crap.

These do say "HS" on the side, so they are headshot ammo. They just look to be the headshot ammo rejects, like this is what wasn't supposed to go to a consumer. The disgusting bag and the fact that almost every single ball fires with a much lower velocity shows that these are not the quality reviewers received.

I reordered yellow instead of blue from amazon, and all the rounds seem to work fine. Out of the first blue batch, only about 20 rounds fired, and only like 3 actually got rival distance. That's  a rate of 2.7%. The rate is much higher with the yellow batch. I don't know if it's color dependent, but one of the moderators at armageddon 19 had pink headshot ammo that I borrowed a bit and that all worked fine. I originally either just got the rejects pile, or their quality control is really hit and miss.
