I have a longshot with an 8kg spring and I'm wondering why some shots fire fine and other just fall out of the barrel. Why is that?

I would need more info about your setup before I could give a definite answer but if I had to guess I would say either your darts are bad (rips etc) or there's a problem with dart fit on your barrel/ breech. what I'm saying is your darts are the problem either too big around or they are just in bad condition.
