I figured I have a Strongarm (http://nerf.wikia.co...N-Strike_Elite)) laying about, and was thinking that it could probably use a longer barrel (considering it entirely lacks one, and there's an ideal barrel length for every plunger setup, it's not too likely this is it, right?) but the best way I can think of involves turning the 6 chambers into 6 barrels, paired with back-loading and spring mods.

The thing is, I am a total newb on mods, and this particular idea doesn't seem to have been done before anywhere I can find it. Can anyone think of reasons it wouldn't work (like the dry-fire safety) or anything else interesting/worrisome/whatever?

I'm not sure how much additional power you'll get from a strongarm with a long barrel. It's not like it has a giant PT that isn't being fully utilized, it's pretty compact.

The first thing I'd do is test the setup with some removable barrel material of your choice (probably needs to be brass or PETG) in one barrel to see if it is worth trying.

Idealy you should mesure the plunger tube, calculate the volume then give yourself a barrel with the same volume. Alternatively give yourself a barrel with the same volume + half a dart length with holes drilled at the base of the extra section, this will give you a slightly lower dart velocity but also increase accuracy by elimenating blowout. (Exactly what a SCAR barrel does only without the fancy useless bits)
