A while back walcoms7 made a video about the potential of the Nerf split strike, making the point that it could possibly be made into a shotgun pistol shooting 4 darts at once. I fell in love with this idea. However, no one as far as I've seen has done a write up on how to do something like that. Opening it up it looks like it'll take a [k26] easily, unless the catch spring doesn't want to hold. However that'll just push the 2nd dart out about 10 feet at best if that's all I do. Does anyone more experienced have any advice, or ideas before I jump head first into new ground?
Questions, and feedback for the Nerf split strike.

The Splitstrike runs on a smart A.R system. Due to that if you want a 4 shot "shotgun", then taking out those A.Rs should due the trick. However, I'm not entirely sure if the blaster has enough plunger volume to propel 4 darts. Even with a [k26], it may be tricky...

After you remove the air restrictors, I'd advise you make the upper barrel a little tighter - probably by re-barrelling it. Normally when you remove the ARs you get a big upper shot and pathetic lower.
Alternatively, you could use a Roughcut to get an 8-shot blast.
I've always wanted to be a pilot. Then I'll have an excuse to keep my head in the clouds.
