Wait! But, with the NC Forums being archived once again, will it have the same layout (UltimateBB) and the same color scheme? That's really why I want it back. You know, for nostalgic purposes.

^^^

I've got a question/suggestion for you Andy.

Since your revamping the site completley, why not add all the old Larami guns, Movie guns, etc to your review index? Most people comsider them Nerf guns anyways and some of them ARE actually now Nerf guns (Airzooka). I think it should be done before some of this things totally disappear.

I know i'd let you borrow my batman gun..

Just a suggestion..

Yep, once we get the normal Nerf guns taken care of, we'll take a look at which other lines we want to cover. It's more or less the matter of obtaining said blasters.

I've got a bunch of Larami guns in my basement, so that's a start.

I only now realized that Andy isn't re-activating the NC forums, save for what's there for archive purposes.

I always used NC as an influence when buying used, older blasters from eBay and such, and have always found it to be reliable, objective, and very thorough, especially regarding ranges of unmodified blasters. I'm excited to read about the NC Reviews for the new lineups. Good job, Andy.

The NC forums, however, well, I'll keep my opinion to myself. That's why I like NH better.

Thats great Andy, thanks for doing that. Im sure some people on the forums (including myself) would help you in an effort to collect all the non NC nerf guns.

Yes, it would be the best if it looked like the old NC. It would make the best out of the old memories.

While the old format and color scheme WOULD bring back memories, I'm not sure that nostalgia is Andy's intent by making the NCforums archives available. He was probably just thinking things like mods, advice, etc, would be useful when you're doing research for a new mod or something similar. To tell you the truth, I miss the old NO layout...

I'm pretty sure that since the archived NCForums will be hosted on NerfHaven, they will share the NerfHaven color scheme.

I still have to get off my lazy ass and ftp them to cxwq, to begin with. B)

Ah, good to see you're back Andy :)

I really like the new interface, is it flash? [Perhaps I missed it as I skimmed], but if it is, will there be a mobile site? Sure there is no real reason, but I want my toys to display reviews of toys :P

Mixed feelings on the NC forums, frankly I only post a couple of piss poor replies every now and then, but have fond memories of the NC forums.

Any other features like a gallery or just the same rock solid reviews?

A mobile page would kick ass.
It would be good for braging, cause it would be like "See this here gun, it says it shoots 40ft, mine shoot 90."

It's good to hear NC will finally be getting some reviews on more recent guns. I think everyone relys on the NC reviews in some degree. I've always viewed it as a valuable resource to the NIC. How will the NC archives be displayed on Nerf Haven though? Can you find posts from that site mixed with old posts from Nerf Haven or will there be a seperate NC archives section to the site?

Let me clear up some confusion on the NC -> NH forum archiving.

A few months ago Vacc and I had some conversations with Andy about the possibility of moving some or all of the NC content to NH. Andy replied that he was thinking about resurrecting the reviews and news himself but that he had no intention of reopening the forums because of the work involved.

We offered to host the NC forum posts in a read-only sub-section of the NH forums, provided I can get the files and convert them successfully into our database. It's a shit-load of work and I have no real ETA for it, but we all thought it would be nice to create a permanent archive of that content because it represents a significant chunk of the NIC history.

When complete, the NC forums would appear on their own index page here. The look and feel would be essentially NH, but I would like to make it distinctive enough that you can tell at a glance which site the post was originally from. The search function would be able to search a specific forum, or both forums at once.

Sorry for being a bitch and posting in a month old thread, but i was just interested in when NC will start coming out with the new reviews. Or if there might be a timetable for this.

Sorry about posting in an old thread, i just didnt think a new topic was needed.

Thanks.

It is old, but thanks for bringing this up Itallion Stallion; I didn't see it before. I wish the forum were coming back too, but having the site for reviews will be monumental.

Finally...

Lozi's unite!!!!

Just kidding, lol.

Sorry dude. It was just a joke. I seriously did not know that it would irritate you (indeed, I don't know you personally and only occasionally see you post (I'm not around too often)). If it makes you feel any better, I was never a part of that group. Again, my appologies.

Funny how sarcasm is hard to read on forums. Anyway, I hapy it's back. I really like the reveiws specially when I started nerfing a few years ago, it helped me out a lot. I'm very happy to hear that there will be new ones as well.

Whew, thank goodness. I thought I was in serious shit, I was like, "Oh hell, this is not good." K, cool. Normally I'm pretty good at reading sarcasm and humor, but I also know that the ..... (lol) pissed a lot of people off, so when I read your post, it didn't surprise me a lot either. Anywho, later dude.
