Hello again, hoping you all can help clear things up for me.

I am looking into buying a Retaliator for modding (I love modding stuff) but feel a little over my head with sealed breeches.

I have seen quite a few diy's on doing this, as well as kits from Worker, Artifact and Orange mod works. It seems the omw kit is the only sealed breech that is capable of shooting standard darts while the others require stefans only. Is this true, or are there others that allow use of standard darts? Any diy sealed breeches for standard darts?

Also, I would ideally like to still be able to use the stock retaliator barrel add_on attachment, as I would like to add a worker pump grip. I have seen this done using omw stg 1 2 & 3 on a retaliator by a guy on youtube that goes by "pwnd" or "psyksg" I believe, which I really like. Are there any other ways of having a sealed breach along with the stock retaliator add on barrel attachment?

Thanks a bunch!

Guessing Omw stage 3 is the only 'sealed breech' that works with full length darts then?

The issue you will run into is the stroke length required for a breech to open far enough to accept a full-length dart. Most kits simply won't be able to overcome the dimensional limitations that the platform has.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

That's what I was thinking, and it seems Omw is the only upgraded breech for full length darts.

Now if I decided to go the stefan/short dart route, which is the best sealed breech?
Artifact?
Xplorer?
Worker mods?

I've seen some videos of the Omw and Artifact breeches. Artifact seems to jam quite a bit.
But haven't come across a single video of the xplorer or worker breeches.

Opinions on these?

Instead of a sealed breech, maybe a brass one would be better. Like a sleeper breech styled one. You may loose some air, but the range decrease should not be that bad. Also, I'm sure that a sleeper styled breech can accept stock full-length darts.

Happy modding

Sealed just refers to a lack of escaping air. A brass breech is the most common and if done right, most effective style of sealed breech.

I'm more looking to buy a breech than make one. I'm not that good at making small things to tight tolerances....

I kind of like the idea of the Omw stage 3 breech/muzzle since its a very reputable company, works with full length darts and is "bolt on".

But kind of possibly thinking of going with stefan setup.
Artifact seems like a decent sealed breech but seen a few people say it jams quite a bit even with artifact short darts.
Xplorer seems decent but haven't seen or heard anything on reliability.
The worker breech kit also seems pretty good but can't seem to find anyone that has used it in a retaliator.

Are there any other sealed breech kits available for the retaliator?

Out of artifact, xplorer and worker short dart sealed breech kits, which would you all suggest?

I'd do a sleeper breech; you don't need to make super small parts, just cut and polish some brass.

I haven't used those kits.
