Hello again. I am hoping you all could help me decide on a stronger spring for a nerf mega bigshock I just picked up today.

I've read that the jolt style blasters won't catch with anything stronger than a 5kg spring. Does the same hold true for the mega big shock?

I plan to get a worker barrel converter so it can shoot both mega and elite darts, and remove dart post and maybe ar to shoot rival balls. I really want the strongest spring I can fit, but don't really want problems priming it due to the catch, and don't want my blaster to break. Buuut I want more power!

Suggestions?

The most I have had to work is a 5kg retaliator spring from omw and it worked pretty well. The only thing that didn't work well was that the pin that holds on the plunger head was weakened so the plunger head comes off. I would replace it with a screw and washer(sorry I don't know what size). It also caught every time and only slipped when I dropped it. I did try a portion of a [k26] but it was too strong and the catch slipped constantly. I would be willing to bet that a 7kg omw retaliator spring would work.

Thank you!

For some reason I can't seem to find a 7k retaliator spring on the omw site. Even they have mentioned it but I only see 5k?

Sadly, after ordering 3x 5kg omw springs and a worker barrel converter I got a reply from omw stating their 7kg spring would be fine in my bigshock.

Guess ill slap a 5kg in it for now but probably order their 7kg for it in the future, and reuse that 5kg in another blaster.

Appreciate all the help! (Can not wait for springs and barrel to show up!)

Jolts and their reshells can only handle up to 5kg max. However the Bigshock is an exception since its catch is beefier. Mega blaster=mega catch. I found a 7kg spring for the Bigshock for you.

With a worker barrel converter, that thing will be hitting at least 90fps with the 5kg and maybe 120 with the 7kg.

Well today I put one of the OMW 5kg Retaliator springs I just received in my Mega Bigshock. It is pretty noticeably stiffer and longer than the stock spring.

After new spring, AR removal and dart post removal, the Bigshock now shoots Mega darts AND Rival balls pretty dang hard! Plus the addition of the Worker barrel converter, it shoots Elite darts really hard too!

I now love this little blaster, but am considering a 7kg OMW Retaliator spring
for it in the future.

Well I re-replaced the 5kg omw retaliator spring in my mega bigshock with a 7kg omw retaliator spring and WOW!

This thing now shoots mega darts, rival balls and elite darts ridiculously hard!

I HIGHLY suggest the Mega Bigshock, ar removal, dart post removal, Worker barrel converter and Omw 7kg retaliator spring to anyone looking for an insanely powerful Nerf pistol that can shoot mega darts, elite darts AND rival balls. I love it

You can put up to like 14kgs in them i think. Search Chris Cartaya on youtube. He has a few videos on it.
