So... I have a feeling I know the answer to this but,

Is there or does anyone know of an indoor arena game in the Bay?

I know there was an indoor game at a rock climbing gym in the Richmond area but they don't seem to have them anymore, or at least it's no longer publicized on the gym's website.

I like being outside just like the rest of us but I think an indoor game provides another dynamic that you just can't achieve at your local elementary school - also your darts don't get dirty.

I guess if I know the answer already maybe my real motive here is to get a gauge for the interest in an indoor game. I've already started scoping some locations but I'd like to see if there is enough interest before I go forward.

I think you should start one, where are you planning to host it?

I've scoped a couple of locations so far... but they are both in the deep East Bay - Martinez and Antioch.

Mostly looking at places that are indoor soccer fields or large multi use facilities.

I think the biggest barrier here is gonna be distance, all my friends in the city just moan when they have to go over the bridge - let alone go through the tunnel. After that it's probably gonna be $. A private indoor game means somebody - me - needs to rent the field, bring inflatable barriers, and of coarse provide darts.

The last 3 I'm actually totally willing to do, getting people to drive way out - we'll see.

To make this viable I'd probably need to negotiate a reduced rate for facility rental and the only way I see that making sense for the facility owners is if I pay for a large block of rentals. Maybe like 6 reservations outright - upside is there would be 6 scheduled games that could go on rain or shine.

I'm thinking with a 2-2.5hr rental we could squeeze in at least 4-5 15 min rounds of flux or king of the hill games...

While I'm at it what would you be willing to pay to play in such luxurious accommodations?

$15 for maybe 1.5 hours?

I think that driving up to places like Antioch would be ok, perhaps we could have a carpool or something like that? I think 15 dollars is a perfectly reasonable price for 1.5 hours.

I live in the Bay Area and I would for sure make that trip and pay the 15 dollars for a war. Im also trying to find outdoor communities with NIC gametypes but I dont know how much of a community there is in the bay area also if the place is near a bart station that would be even better

Thanks for the feedback guys... I'm still working on this and I've recently taken over the East Bay Nerf League group on FB, feel free to join there as well. My focus will continue to be on organizing an indoor event so if you know of any locations feel free to suggest.

Update!

Indoor location secured... http://www.usamartinez.com

Full field has been reserved for either June 24 or July 8 from 11-1

We'll be able to bring in cover and will get some time ahead of the reservation to allow for field set up.

Now the next part, who's willing to make the haul out to Martinez?

I'm still targeting ~$20 for registration that will include darts for the games.

I've also taken over as admin for the East Bay Nerf League on FB you can join the group here: https://www.facebook...44734432337068/
