Hi,

I was thinking of integrating my hyper fire into my stampede but i was wondering if anyone has done this before. Any help would be appreciated.

Never seen one done before. Seems like an interesting combination to try and merge. My advice honestly is not too due to stampedes are becoming rare. My advice is to do a ton of planning where you are going to cut before you do. I used photoshop to kind of blend my blatter's to get a rough idea on the kind of shape I wanted.

Hmmm could you specify a bit more what you envision (I.e. What's your goal in doing this?) besides a cool blaster?

My idea is the front of the hyperfire and the stampede grip/stock area. The stampede i have is just scrap as i destroyed its motor and lost a gear. I will plan some more and draw up a diagram and will let you guys know on my process. Do you think i could still use the stampede battery tray? Im not going to be replacing motors or using lipos just stock batteries.

both shells have been painted previously but i dont think that should be a problem since im repainting anyways.

I just ordered some supplies and made cuts to the shell. i will post pics later of the cuts i made. I had extra money so i thought i would do a motor replacement. Would hobbyzone 180 brushed motors work well in the hyperfire? Also what is a good 2s lipo for the hyperfire?

180s mean extra shell work. The lipo depends on what motors you are using.. not a question of what gun really.

I will be using the 180 motors and i dont mind shell work. So would a 2s or 3s be good for 180s? I also just thought about the feeding mech which probably could not withstand a 3s so im guessing a 2s.

Again depends on what the motors can handle.

I won't lie, I'm not exactly a pro at lipos so I'm not going to embarrass myself out here giving out crappy info.

There is an awesome spread sheet out there that gives you a breakdown of mtb motors vs what batteries are optimal. I'll see if I can dig it up. But ultimately your going to need to figure out the specifics of your motors. Do you have a link to said motors?

It all depends on what motor you use. 180 is just a size, not a standard performance rating. Blades/3240's, xp180's, and mtb wolverines all are best with 2s. Hellcats are probably what I would recommend, and they require a 3s. The feeding mech will withstand it, but I don't know about the pusher motor. If you want to replace that, I would recommend a honey badger. They will give very heigh rof on a 3s with the hyperfire.
Good luck can't wait to see the final result.

Okay Thanks everyone for the advice! Im kind of noob at flywheel nerf blaster mods. Also, Does the hyperfire have the same flywheels as say a stryfe or a rapid red? Would worker flywheels work for it?

The cage is different i don't know about the wheels. Those mothers look like 2s, although may not do well for nerf applications. If you have them on you and can read fk-180/3240 or something like that, you have good motors that will be able to improve your build. If you are a noob, definitely try 130 rhinos from make test battle. They are best with 3s.
Good luck

They seem probably close enough. Rhinos would be more drop in and a standard that all other motors are compared to. Also suggested is a non canted cage for the hyperfire. I know that the open flywheel project has one who sells them and several 3D printed versions exist.

Canted flywheels have thier motors tilted slightly to put a spin on the dart. It's supposed to increase accuracy (again I'm not exactly a pro level modder so if I'm wrong feel free to correct) but at high rates of fps/fire it can cause your darts to fishtail pretty hard. Non Canted flywheels are like ones you'd find in a stryfe. They are aligned straight. You'd have to find a non Canted hyperfire flywheel cage. They are not compatible.

Go for it, seems like it would make a beautiful blaster. the hyperfire is good, but where the batteries are makes it uncomfortable for me, I encourage you to do it, and maybe put an under barrel mount that isn't a shotgun or an airblaster.

Any hammer primed blaster is not recommended for underbarelled use. The reason people only do shotgun airblasters, and flywheel blasters as underbarrels is that anything else would be hard to prime. If you want something unique, maybe try something similar to captain Xavier's wrist raider( bolt action slam fire only). Please post a pic of the integration so I can try to give more helpful advice.

What do you think of an under barrel auto grip? I have already put n a marker barrel so it shoots standard darts. Also how do you put photos on here?

Or i also have a switch shot which i think would do a great job. I have modified it so you dont have to have the main blaster part.
