So as you can possibly tell from the title, wondering if anyone knows the difference/performance difference between men gun darts and the Ekind waffle tips. I am in the market for bulk amounts of darts and both men gun and the ekind darts are in the sizes I want them, so if anyone could tell me which one is better if at all that would be great.
This is at full length by the way, however if anyone knows the hopperabilty of either of these then please share because may use these for homemades too.

The mengun types are good but the ekind waffleheads have more forward weight, so they fly better under high flywheel power conditions. Both have more forward weight & will be much more stable in flight than elites but with less overall range (not that you'd notice with elites with their wild flight paths which reduce their straight linear range).

Their tip diameter and profile is different and in that regard specifically I GREATLY prefer the men-gun darts for homeamdes because they feed easier through hoppers and breech systems once they are cut shorter. The quality control of EKIND darts is also somewhat spotty so you'll have to spot check batches for mold flash on the tips.

 

If you are using stock blasters there's no practical difference between the two beyond weight distribution.

I've found mengun to be far more strongly attached. That being said, I have a war tomorrow and 300 Xwaffles, so we'll see how they do.

Oh ok, so would these be better for flywheels or springers or can they be used well across the board? And I don't care about range that much, I want to know the difference between the two but I just need something better than elites

Ok thank you, if you have either, and same goes for sir brass, do either of you know the preformance difference and the accuracy difference? Like basically the reason why I asked this in the first place is because I'm wondering for this large war I am hosting if I should pick one over the other to buy or if I should buy both.

Ekind waffleheads are good across the board for superstock. I don't do homemades, so I've no clue there so I'll take Slug's word that mengun feed better in their wye hoppers. But for superstock springers & flywheel blasters I prefer my ekind darts to koosh gen3's and especially elites. They get way less range than elites but have so much better precision.

Pretty sure we just used Ekind in a war and they got absolutely *wrecked*. ~0% recovery rate, heads ripped off like mad. Might be a QC issue, might be a theft issue, might be poor dart collection protocols; all I know is that we had a bad experience.

 

That said, I've yet to see a men-gun in person.

I've only had a minimal dart loss with ekinds, and that's though a 180 Stryfe on 2s through worker wheels.

Only seen the head ripped off one ekind dart in person and that was due to a pusher jam in the rapidstrike. But then again I pick up my ekinds after every round.

I used ekinds in a war on friday, didn't lose the heads from any but I wasn't using modded flywheelers, just a brass barreled XBZ, stock hyperfire, and an up-springed rough cut.

I've fired probably a few hundred total out of my 180'd stryfe with worker flywheels and only a few total have lost their tips over the course of much testing & modding and a few wars.

And remember, worker wheels are known to chew up darts if there's dart slippage. So these darts are pretty durable even with many of the tips being only glued on the tip shaft (yup, noticed a good deal of that actually).

I've run Ekind waffle 'drats' in four consecutive wars. They run exceptionally in Artifact cages and wheels.

 

The glue is definitely weak. Most heads are very loose after two or three uses. Very few survive more than five shots.

What about using glue to properly secure the dart heads?

Or is the foam too weak as well?

I wonder if homemade dart foam cut to standard dart length and using EKIND heads would work well.
