So at work, our nerf wars have begun an arms race of foam. Our IT Support team are packing more varied blasters and our IT developers are packing more tactical gear. Its interesting times as we are getting ready for an April HvZ.

My question to the nerf world is, do the Molle style FastMag double holders work for the 22s or just the 18s and below?

Not sure, but the Blastersmiths UK 18-round pouches work for Worker mags.

Support class: Yes, I'm that machine gunner that straps ten magazines/buckets of HIRs to himself and rocks a highly modded Rapidpistol or a stock Nemesis, usually keeping the other team's heads down so you can pick him off with your overvolted Stryfe. You're welcome.

No idea with the fastmags, but theoretically they should. Especially if they're the .308 variety. I highly doubt the .223 ones will work. I mean, if RS .308 PMags fit...

Condor Brand AK mag pouches (2x1, 2x2 or 2x3 varieties) all work with some modification, if y'all want a cheaper alternative. Just cut the dividing tab inside the pouch out with some scissors and you're golden.

Mind you, you won't be able to run the pouch closed, you'll have to tuck the flap into the pouch itself. It's plenty snug, though.Just don't try to run the mag pouches upside down like a fastmag... It's also real good as a hammershot holster, especially if the arbor rail is cut down.

Any AK/7.62/FAL/M14/308 type mag pouches should hold any nerf mag. For instance, one single stack AK pouch holds one nerf mag, and a double stack pouch for AK mags hold 2 nerf mags.

This holds 6 18s and lots of other pockets. lots of HVZers use this.

I remember you recommending this, one question though. I did some more research and since you said that ak mag pouches work, would this one work? I know it's not a rig but personally I would rather get something I can keep adding onto than maximum amount of mags:https://www.amazon.c...molle mag pouch
And would this work for the 22rd worker, 20 buzz bee mag, and 18 round nerf?

Edit:hope this isn't too off topic from the main post but the main post has to do with mags of similar size so this may be a viable option on a molle rig. To my knowledge, you can keep adding mags so theoretically you could have 3 or 4 sets of the thing I listed on a rig and that would be about double the capacity of what you listed, albeit much more expensive but also more versatile and longer lasting, especially good if you are running a rapid strike/hyperfire

If you stack too many molle pouches on top of one another, they get very awkward very fast, and also since they're soft-sided they start to squish up and make it hard to pull stuff out of the back pouches. I'd really only want to two tiers (Ie pouch on a pouch on a vest/belt) for reliability purposes. But yes, those should hold nerf mags.

I mean I was assuming you would do something about that by making some form of stretching and support system out of wood, or rope, or springs. Something like that, i don't know I am just saying that chances are it would be possible to figure out how to fix that issue.

I think at the point you're trying to cobble together a goldberg-esque confabulation of molle mag pouches, duct tape, and 2x4's you should just get a nice messenger bag and call it a day.

Personally I'd opt for something like this
For as great as molle gear and attachment is, it really gets out of hand IMO.
You want to be minimal with what your buying, and TBH if you're using this as a chest rig it's really bulky. 18s or anything larger gets really annoying fast because it keeps bumping into you and you're immobile, even setting it low and only gets exacerbated by more gear. Not sure why you need so many mags, but after going to a few wars you learn that you don't actually need a ton of mags and taped together mags so you can top off is a lot more helpful.

something important to note is those retention tabs do not work on anything too large, because mags simply aren't meant to be this long for real firearms (excluding Y straps and some firearms with large extended mags)
Worker 22s, Buzzbee 18s, all nerf mags are similar dimension. You want those caliber sizes i listed above.

I also partially agree with the messenger bag mindset, if you need to carry extreme amounts of extra ammo, an extra bag to top off your mags on your person is helpful, so you can have ammo to spend, and than mags to replenish topped off mags during respawn.
No offense but the I have to carry so much ammo sort of mindset is more a new style or trigger happy mindset that generally is a bit new. Even most people I know with 3S rapidstrikes end up just going light and leaving a stache of extra ammo somewhere. Or leeching off me (RIP)

So I've been recommended the following kit, the pouch should holder the Worker 22 mags easily.

For my superstock loadout, I use a pair of dump pouches, similar to what you've posted. They hold 18 dart Nerf stick mags, but don't work too well since they're not deep enough and the elastic at the top make it hard to load the dump pouch to full capacity.

I know you're using different mags and those dump pouches could have different measurements than mine, but if they're a "standard" size, I'm skeptical as to how well they'll hold stick mags that are bigger than regular 18 dart Nerf stick mags.

What's the fun in having a messenger bag when as I said you could theoretically have mags going as far out as you can reach, yeah you would be weighed down but you would never run out of ammo. I would bet a long as you are athletic enough you could last the longest in any hvz if you have enough mags. In fact, I have thought of making a rifle that has two sets of workable flywheels in it as to allow you to fire out of the back magazine well to always have ammo to fire. And that coupled with a setup like this would allow you to last forever in anything not power based

I mean, if you want to get crazy, lets get crazy :D

Fill up a shopping cart with 18 round mags and mount two rhinofires on it.

Hook up a Hirricane to a flexible hose and carry several swappable 5 gallon buckets full of HIR's.

Buy three Mastodons and hire two middle schoolers to carry and reload the spares so you've always got a fresh one ready to go.

Build a suspension harness and make a fifteen foot extended PVC magazine for an upside-down Vigilon.

Stash full-size duffel bags full of socks around the playing area and just grab a new backpack every time you're all socked out.

I keep my rig light and simple. Battle belt, secondary pistol on my left leg 2 water bottle pouches that hold 3 18s each on my right leg.
Dump pouch hanging in the back, 3 pack of 8rd mags on the right far enough up to not interfere with my drop leg set up. Currently looking for a molle butt pack for loose darts (my secondary is a gear up barricade) for reloading said barricade or topping off mags.
The water bottle holder can also hold 2 8s or 6s in the little front pouch, or a 25rd drum in the main part.

I currently run 2x25rd drums, 2x18rd mags, 1x20rd mags, 2x8rd mags, 2 6rd mags, and 3x12rd mags.

*someone who actually plays HVZ steps in*

So for HVZ, it doesn't matter how many mags you have, you actually shouldn't do that much fighting or you get bogged down. You don't need so many mags, and all that ammo is kind of hindering at a point. Especially the bulky 18s. You're way more likely to jam you blaster and die before even going through all those mags. More does not mean better and it certainly applies in this case. Carry more than 6 18s and you get cumbered already, a messenger bag as a support bag as I mentioned before is a good base to fall back to. Even the best players eventually get hit, and I've spent more time alive firing less because of being careful and picking my engagements.

I run like 8 12 mags and one in the blaster because I also help my team by handing off mags. I only use like 4ish on average. I honestly doubt you need to carry so many mags because you can tape 2 or 3 together and just top one off because you're not always firing.
