You would think that after an item's price got up so high, people would have the common sense to stop their bidding. Behold the insanity.

I would create an account just to insult the seller and comment on his idiocy of thinking to sell it for a price like that.

It must be two friends working together...
One starts the bidding, and the other always raises the price- until the high bid is reasonable.. Ya know, it's nuckin' futz how much that ass paid.

I laughed as soon as I saw it was an Xbox that they were bidding on...

Then I saw how high the price was. I guess that's funny too

But did you purchase a Gamecube? Turns out, new games worth playing are released in 3-month intervals, or every season. It's great, waiting a whole fucking season, just for a new game! I mean, thanks Nintendo!

IE, don't buy a Cube. Unless it's a cube of Dew.

For now, I'm sticking to my PS2. I also have a Gamecube, but last time I checked, the damn thing won't read any of my discs. Even though the Gamecube has a low number of titles compared to he other systems, they did still put out several decent games. I can't wait until the new Zelda game comes out.

If I go out to buy another console, I think I am going to go with an X-Box, because of all of the fun mods that I can do to it (even though Microsoft probably does not approve of it), including

-Installing a mod chip to upgrade the puny-ass hard drive, not to mention, play backed-up games. The mod chip I want can also be switched off so that I can use Xbox Live without any problems.

-Installing Linux. I remember someone else also posting about installing Linux on an X-Box for running older console emulators. With being able to do this on the X-Box, I will have more portability than my desktop, at a price way lower than buying a laptop. I am sick of having to always boot up my computer whenever I want to play my emulators, and be stuck in my room all day. Modding the X-Box will enable me to take it over to a friend's house for some old-school gaming fun.

That Xbox auction was insane. I never saw anything like that since the system first came out. Why not just go to Wal-Mart or something, and just buy the damn system for only $150.00?

I have noticed that has also been happening at my local K-Mart and ShopKo. Usually with a little know-how, that problem can easily be fixed.

There may be a way around that. I'll just have to research it. I may just be able to live with the stock hard drive to run most of the stuff that I want it to (Linux, emulators, etc.)
