I just finished overhauling my Stryfe for nvz and just realized I should have a backup primary. That considered I settled on a retaliator, I plan on buying a sonic ice retaliator, orange mod works kit stage 1 and 2 and a clear worker sig sauer mcx imitation kit. I would like to know if you all see this as a wise choice or if you would recommend something else. Thanks in advance.

Buy a sentinel. Perform AR removal and pumpaction mod. Save yourself ~$211 as well as not having a replica firearm on a college campus.

Get a Longshot and carve away the bipod so you can add a pump grip. Use your Stryfe as a sidearm, or run a Hammershot with expanded cylinder. Get a Titan, 4B/UMB/XBZ, drain blaster, or other powerful system and make a Demolisher missile launch tube and a handful of Absolver shells.

For the love of god, please don't get that Worker kit. It's so expensive and basically just for aesthetic, not function. 

 

My personal HvZ retaliator has OMW 1+2 with a far cheaper pump kit, which works fine for my purposes.

I get what your all saying but I had planned on putting LEDs in it. I know it's overpriced but I love the look and the internal prime. I was more concerned about performance, how would it function in that category?

This is my Retaliator, it has a Gavinfuzzy pump grip, OMW stage 1 kit, and a Worker stock. It looks OK, works great,and is way cheaper than what you are proposing. I did the math (you're welcome) With everything it is $102.13 if you already have a stock and a retal its only $50 you have yourself a full fledged primary. If you must have internal priming just get an EAT, but i seriously wouldn't waste your money on the sig kit... just my two cents.

Have a stage 2 retaliator with 7kg spring.
No shots under 100fps.
Low 102 high 140
Avg 110ish.
Wonder what fps with metal sled and nerfturf 12kg spring would be?????

Will the retaliator shell take the nerfturf spring? IIRC that spring is meant for a longshot, not a retaliator.

Nope, springs have to fit in the plunger tube, and Longshots have HUGE plunger tubes compared to retaliators, and LS springs are longer.

How exactly do you make a absolver shell for like the demolisher or in general? I know this may be a stupid question but haven't seen anything on that
