So I am considering making The Mad Ghost by 3DBBQ but before i go off making my first ever homemade i have a few questions.

(Please bear in mind that i am basically a homemade noob.)

1. what keeps the darts from falling straight out the barrel?

2. In The writeup here on nerfhaven they make it to shoot megas if I'm not mistaken, is there anyway you could make it shoot elites? i would assume you would just change the barrel sizes but i don't really know.

3. i'm assuming that the PVC sizes are standard USA sizes. is that correct?

4. where can i find the correct valves/tubing for the trigger?

All help is appreciated. and i'm sorry if any of these questions are completely stupid. Thanks! ENP10-

1. To change the ammo type all you need to do is change the barrel size.

2. I haven't looked at the writeup in a while, but I'm pretty sure it was written by an American so they would have used standard NA pipe sizes.

3. No idea, I've never built an airgun.

1. Dimensional tolerances. You don't want a loose enough fit between your darts and the barrel for them to just fall out.

2. Just change barrel material

3. Yes

4. Inline PVC check valves can be purchased from most hardware stores or from Amazon. The "trigger" is just a peg that allows you to manually open the poppet inside the smaller check valve.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

In addition to the original, I find that this is a decent writeup on the Americanized version of the blaster. http://nerfhaven.com...pic/21530-wnts/

Also be aware that 3DBBQ is JSPB, based in Taiwan. He's usually pretty good about designing to regional standards, and pops up here on NH every year or two with a new build. I tried building a printable Mad Ghost awhile ago (basically a Mad Ghost with a few printed fittings), but haven't been able to find valves that work well enough near me.

1/2" CPVC should fit elite darts, bring one to test fit in the pipe you're buying as you're dealing with pipe and not tightly-controlled tubing so the ID's vary quite significantly.

how would i size the barrel down for elites? by nesting 1/2 cpvc in the 1/2 pvc?

You can do that by drilling out a short piece of 1/2 PVC with a 5/8" drill bit.
