I'm pretty new to modding and I just finished modding a styrfe.

I used these motors off normal alkaline batteries https://www.pololu.com/product/611.

i used 18 gauge wire from radio shack and followed a basic tutorial on youtube.

It shoots pretty fast and hard (did not chrono it) and it was really simple to do as my first mod.

Is there a tutorial and video on the entire mod you did?

Don't do it that way, RM2's suck. Use MTB Rhino motors if you don't want to cut the shell or MTB Hellcat motors if you don't mind.

I work with kids so I decided to use motors that wouldn't kill a kid.

I used foamdataservices tutorial. There may be better ones but this one explain it all out nicely for me. (https://m.youtube.co...h?v=VARollLMqBY)

RM2s aren't great, and they tend to burn out (so don't hold down the rev button longer than you have to!) But if you don't think you can properly take care of a rechargeable battery pack they can give you a little better performance while still using normal AA batteries.

LiFe batteries are a little more stable than LiPos, but they aren't as compact and the voltage is a bit lower. For instance https://hobbyking.co...fepo4-pack.htmlor https://hobbyking.co...fepo4-pack.html

Charger for them: https://hobbyking.co...discharger.html

If you do rewire always try it with normal AA/alkaline batteries before connecting a battery pack!

In future be much more specific in your request. We're not here to do all introductory research for newcomers who have access to all the information that you also have access to on this forum. We have more than enough directories and mod guides that you can poke through on your own to find answers to questions like this one.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

But I looked at your mod guides and there still to hard for me. Im looking for a mod that I can do and the mods here even the esiest ones require drills and stuff I dont know how to use.

Without a soldering iron (which I'm assuming is more complex than drilling), your best bet with flywheel mods is to remove all of the purely mechanical locks and lube up the trigger. I guess you could put in 2 IMR's and 2 dummy batteries, but that's about it.

Number one: it's Dremel or Rotary tool.

Number two: home depot and Lowe's have nice S-irons and dremels. Also a magical place called Amazon.

If I see one more post from you demonstrating utter helplessness and an unwillingness to do any research of your own you will be suspended for at least a month.
