Yeah if my mom will let me swipe her camera I will. Did you mod it at least? I'm getting one tonight.

I know this topic's old, but I figured better to post here than strike up a new topic. I was at Toys R Us today and saw a different colored Big Salvo. Previously, I had only seen the Big Salvo at Meijer's and it was blue. Since Sept., the Big Salvo had gone on clearance and was no longer at Meijer's. The new color scheme is identical to the new color of the LBB (grey/reddish?) which is pretty neat. I will take pics and put them up as soon as I get one, but I won't have the cash to do so for a couple of weeks.

I could get pics in a couple of days if anyone wants them. I picked one up about a week ago and PVC couplered it. I just figured everyone would already know about the new colors. I don't like the trigger though, it's slanted forward too much and doesn't give my finger any breathing room.

EDIT: Forsaken Angel, yes, I could do that, but then it wouldn't have that smooth plastic fee tol it. I don't mind the constriction too much anyway.

Could you not just sand/dremmel down the trigger for more breathing room?

I don't get my kicks out of you,
I don't feel the way I used to do.
I know its bad,
After what we had,
But I’m just not the angel you knew.

Ok, anyone have both the at2k and the big salvo? How do they compare, performance wise? Can I get more range out of the Big salvo with the restrictors out or an at2k with the restrictors out? (No barrel or overpressure mods).

I have a singled, PVC couplered 2k. With micro Stefans in a nested CPVC barrel it gets about 95' flat, with megas in Sch. 80 (I have very thin FBR), it gets about 75-80' flat. The Salvo with micros, for me, gets about 80-85' flat easily, some shots have probably reached 90'. That's with micro Stefans. With PVC and megas, it gets about 55-60' for me.

I don't know how much range you'd get out of the 2k, but if you mean taking out the entire restrictor poles in the barrels, good luck. You'll need a Dremel with a small bit, lots of patients and lots of time. Without a pump plug and a Stefan, that might get around...45'? Maybe 50'? I'm not sure, but it would suck.

As for the Salvo with the restrictors cut off, with a mega Stefan it might get about 40' if you're lucky.

Just do a barrel mod on both, you'll be happy.

Awhile back, I did remove the restrictors in a 2k turret. It actually wasn't that bad. If I recall correctly, I was getting around 55-65 feet flat consistently. Accuracy wasn't all that great, though. All in all, I'd completely agree with Nerfmonkey in saying you'd be better off barrel modding your guns.

Ok, so the barrels with the air restrictors at the tips removed are still too big for stock micros? I only use stock darts right now so I'll just crayola the barrels when I finally get my mitts on one.

The tips (suctions or whistley things) of the darts would fit in the stock barrels nicely; however in my experience, stock darts suck.

I need some feedback on this comparison now:

AT3k: ROF: HIGH
RANGE: ??? (with restrictors out, stock barrels only)
SIZE- mid-range
$ Value: 2 Guns for $20.
Big Salvo:
ROF: ? (is that a blastfire style they advertise on the box, or what?)
RANGE: ???? (Restrictors removed, stock barrels.)
SIZE: B.F.G
$ Value: One gun for $20.

Same discussion over the at2k. Are the ranges comparable between the BS and AT3k?

AT3K range: with restrictors out, sucks balls.

Big Salvo ( when you typed BS it made me think bullshit before I made the connection, oh well, I'm a dumbass).

ROF: The Farther you pull the trigger back, the more barrels fire.
Range: With restrictors out, no clue but probably pretty shitty.

Yeah, I found that it's really hard(if not impossible) to just get the restrictors out of At3k barrels, just crayola it. That's what I'm in the process of doing now.
