Hosts:
Not really sure. It appears to be an event promotional group affiliated with a local pop music radio station.
(again, I am just some guy on the internet, i'm not the hosts)
Rules:
- I'm not sure what they will be.
- EYEPRO: officially, NOT required. Though I'll darn well be wearing mine, and you def should too.
- Melee - ???
- Shields - ???
- Barrel taps - ???
- Throwing darts - ???
Will be 3 separate areas:
• one for people with modded blasters
• one foe people with stock blasters (sentinels! lol)
• one for children under 10
Modded Blasters:
Initially they had said it would be stock-blasters only, no paint. But 7 days before the event, they changed that rule, posting that light modifications and paint would be allowed. For the record, i'm bringing my snap bows and such. Because you never know.
Dart restrictions:
-STOCK AMMO ONLY.
-NO STEFANS
-NO FVJ
-you could probably get away with Kooshes though honestly
Attendance List:
As of this posting, 178 people on the Facebook event are marked as attending, with 1,304 people having been invited.
BUT - this number may not be accurate, because:
1) This event has been promoted over the radio, as a "Guinness world record attempt" for largest war.
2) The local university's HvZ group has a separate event page for this event for their members to organize attendance to the event.
So really I have no idea. I'll be driving in a carpool coming from Olympia WA, and I personally know of NIC hobbyists from Tacoma, Seattle, and Centralia who will be in attendance.
This may not break the world record, but this will probably be the biggest game I personally have ever been to.
Corporate Attendance List:
- NERF/Hasbro supposedly has either sponsored this, or gave them free darts, or something. I'm not sure.
- OTTER POPS company will be there with free crap. I'm not sure why anyone would want to eat frozen otter pops in wet, cold, late October, but corporate folks from that company will reportedly be there.
