Ever make a big mistake when modding? Or want to make it clear to other users how to avoid making mistakes while modding? Please share your experiences and your advice!

Make sure to take a reference picture of a blaster's internals before fully disassembling it. Sorta good to have, I guess.

Yeah, just take pictures as you disassemble the blaster. In particular, take pictures of small components so that you have an idea of where they go and in what orientation. Stuff like the internal locks on magazine fed blasters can get confusing otherwise.

Don't Epoxy a NF shell shut if you want to paint it later.

Trying to be gentle and breaking tabs off of motors you thought you fully desoldered and had not.

Not triple checking the battery housing of a rapid strike and fusing the batteries to the tray because a piece of wire slipped in and caused a short

Always re-lubricate moving parts! Especially moving parts that have been painted!

Dont accidentally replace the plunger tube on your magstrike with a length of half inch pvc! hey, it still works  ... i even glued the padding sticker back on...

I once shattered a retaliators plunger head, and didnt notice for 2 weeks.

Edit: Actually, i'm the destroyer of plunger tubes. I've used bad wd40 in a slingfire, accidentally (WITH A PIPE CUTTER) cut a plunger tube in half, and I shattered my Nitefinder's plunger head, and still used it. I might be very dumb.
