I was just seeing if someone could make this mod , in the blue with white like the colors of strong arm or new rapid strike and see how much it would cost (will post in trade if someone gives me a quote)

I do not have the skill for this mod but from watching the vid, you will need:

Nerf Retaliator-$25

Nerf Rough cut-$20

Screwdriver-(probably have if not go to any hardware store)

Epoxy Putty-$5 to $20

Edit:Hand Saw-$10 to $20

Spray Paint: (prices vary, go to places like autozone to buy a primer and clear coat)

So in total this should cost about $75 or maybe a little more depending on where you get your materials (not including screwdriver or paint)

And than you will need to do some internal stuff such as integrating the Retaliator handle into the rough cut.

Sorry if this wasn't to helpful due to me not doing the mod.

You forget about paint. Any halfway decent primer+two paint colors+clear coat will jack the materials cost up substantially. Probably close to $100 in materials.

Keep in mind if you don't have any materials at all it will cost this much up-front, but you also have plenty of extra material left over like paint and epoxy for other projects. Unless you want to contract it, then those can get expensive if you want a quality job. I don't even know of anybody right now that regularly accepts contracts.

Few do except for those who are wanting to get into the game/do it for thrills and those who accept only appropriate compensation from clients. If this is $100 in materials, I'd probably want to charge $500 or more to make it possibly worthwhile for me to do it.

The reason nobody takes comissions is because most people who want a commission are used to paying sub-$100 for an OOTB blaster. The other part is that the makers have too few clients willing to pay *anything* because most people DIY it if they like it.

Similar to the above bolded, those who can't do it themselves, aren't willing to pay what it's worth to get it done right. Those who can afford to get it done right, are able (and willing) to do it themselves. This is a generalization, but I think there's some truth to it.
