A friend of mine somehow has an obliterated stampede.  All that was left of it was the shell and a few ripped apart electronic pieces.  So i cleared the entire internals of everything but the trigger and mag release mechs.  Then i gave it a paint job i am most proud of.  Now what to do with it.  I want to put another blaster within the shell but am not sure what.  My first thought was a long shot because I have one around.  I began the process of putting the long shot in the shell but realized i needed help before step one.  So now i am asking for help on what to do form here.  Should i put an air blaster in it? Or help and tips on putting a long shot in it. Any help is appreciated.

Just put an airgun in it, a longshot isn't worth the trouble.

I'm just a nerd with Asperger's Syndrome and a few electronics.

Hello,

I have a Stampede that I modified and now it will not shoot. If I hold the barrel in my hand and manually pull the plunger back it fires perfectly. I am not sure but it seems like the gears should be lined up a certain way with the barrel. Is this true? When I pull the trigger, the motor runs and the barrel moves forward but the plunger never releases. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

The plunger should move back as the gears turn, if you redid the wiring make sure your Posts and Negative aren't reversed, if possible post pictures

Thank you for the reply. The wires were not crossed and the motor is running in the correct direction. Everything moves the way it should but the orange piece that should trip the catch does not move forward to trip the catch for the plunger. If I manually slide the orange piece forward when the barrel is forward, it will fire the dart. I have a picture but cannot upload it. Maybe because I'm new?
