[Ice Nine]

This thread is for sharing photos and videos of Nerf wars you've attended. War photos and videos are fun to look through but too often they're hidden in war threads or maybe not even posted. Feel free to continue posting war recaps and photos and stuff in your war hosted threads, but also feel free to post the content in here.

And here is a group shot from the second war Ice hosted in Springfield, PA. It was the second of nearly 20+ wars hosted at that park before eventually relocating to Smedley.

And finally, here is an action shot from my second most favorite war of last year, Beaver's summer SPANO 2015. The field was excellent, and it was the first time I got to play with some faces I hadn't seen since Cataclysm a few years ago. An excellent war with excellent Nerfers.

Chrismastravaganza 2: C.H.R.I.S.T. (Chrismastravaganza Has Really Intense Sexy Times). We went to the 99-Cent Store before the war and everyone picked up accessories to aid in battle. We played a round of Team Powerball in the rain on concrete and it was exhilarating and terrifying (Bags has footage but it has never been seen before).

 

 

I found the Armageddon 2006 video in the recap thread (planning thread here) and some photos. The opening sequence to the video is an absurd old-school lineup. See how many people you can name! Video by Falcon, pictures from Groove (sorry Groove).

My channel has a video of almost every war I have attended and is constantly getting updated. Thank you Ice Nine for posting this thread, I appreciate the work that is going into showing the progression of nerf.

 

This is probably my best video in terms of editing. The footage from NENO 15 will be up by early June and should be edited to a higher level.

To anyone posting video: there are step-by-step instructions in the first post for doing it with embedding.

 

With the revelation that a hard drive failure took the possibility of an Armageddon XV video with it, I figure I'll post up a bunch of Armageddon XV photos taken by Zorn's Lemma as consolation since most of them disappeared from the war thread. This is my first ever Nerf event footage video - reposted from the General Nerf thread "Filming Nerf Wars," but the thread rules for this thread said I could repost here, so I am.

 

As I said in the original thread: by professional standards, this video sucks. But I did the best I could with the meager tools I had (in this case a Nerf Battle App smartphone mount, and a 5th generation iPod Touch in said mount), and I feel confident enough in my editing abilities to say this video does have some redeeming qualities. Constructive criticism is welcome, but again, keep it constructive - that means if you say it sucks, I need to know why. And I already know I have shaky cam syndrome and not much drowning out the Rival flywheel sounds.

 

Anyway, the video; enjoy!

Used a head mounted gimbal to stabilize footage and I think the result was well worth it despite how clunky it is to wear. Primary was a brass breeched sentinel firing mengun darts.

Hey everyone we run a paintball league in Southern California and because of my kids love of Nerf we tried out our tournament format called Redzone at a local paintball. It went so well we decided to start a league for Kids and adults, the kids league will use the standard darts and the adult league the Rival balls. I fired up my ancient laptop that had some videos I downloaded from NerfHaven years ago and put them on youtube. This video is the first of 8 in a playlist; if you click the video title it should take you to youtube where you can watch the rest of them.

 

 

I don't know if this is ok or not. I think it probably is since these all used to be hosted here on NH and were free to view and/or download, but if any of the admins think cxwq wouldn't want these on youtube then edit my post with a statement to that effect and I'll take them down ASAP.
