Has anyone bothered to watch it? I for one have and I think it's great. there are also some sneak peaks at possible new blasters in the advanced R&D sections. I will post screen cap pics once i figure out how to do it on my home computer. Also, what does everyone think of the DVD?

Yeah dude, I agree. They actually did a decent job of making a game to play with the blasters. It reads like a young adult schi-fi novella, but the DVD is well done. My favorite part was the R&D as well. They play some short vids and describe the uses of the weapons in N-Strike's Unity Power System, plus some extras as you have mentioned. I took some screen captures of the DVD when I got it on the 30th, but hadn't gotten around to writing a review where I could post them quite yet. Yesterday I edited them so the images will fit in a browser, so I'll share them here:

First of the other guns they mention is a Secret Strike recolor for the N-strike series. Titled, AS-1.
Posted Image

Second is an intriguing recolor of the popular Nite Finder, titled EX-3. The only other difference that I could see was a ridge on the top of the gun has been added.
Posted Image

Lastly, was a prototype blaster, called the IX-6. It looks like it has the rotation system of the SM1000, but it's spring powered I assume so the internals will probably be similar to the Scout's. Not very welcoming, but it's an interesting pic.

If you beat the DVD, which is an acceptable use of 30+ minutes by my slacker standards, you are treated to some ... Hasbro commercials! A few available are the Tech Target, SoakerTag, and Super Soaker Monster Rocket, which I recently got on clearance at Target marked down from $30 to $7.50. For the price of a movie ticket, me and some friends had some fun modding it so we could shoot it horizontally at each other. The thing really is a beast at 7' tall. Anyways, the DVD made a great distraction, I suggest you guys take a look too.

I was wondering about this as well, but no one seemed to make a topic about it. The DVD is the thing that really had me wanting to know about. Maybe if someone has a DVD player on their computer and can convert it so we can watch it in WMP or Quicktime or whatever. If its legal.
But sneak peeks... Ooooh, sounds like I should go out and buy this myself! But that's what they want... damn.
As far as the sneak peeks, how well is the game? Is it even worthwhile or is it just a waste?
But thanks OMC if you can post pics of it!

Edit: DUDE! JANGA I LOVE YOU! That last gun is seriously kickass! It reminds me of a revolver! And I also notice the "engravings" of the N-Strike logo on the SSPB. Good job!

The revolver gun looks freaking sweet. Its probably just a sm350 type gun, but with the weaker scout internals.

Guys, have any of you noticed the similarity of the ridge on the top of the new NF to that of the scout? Has anyone thought of the possibility of attaching the NH to this Power Unity system? Plus, the revolver weapon still has potential- with some string stretching some some creative barrel replacements, you could have a medium-range high-ROF pistol. After all, isn't that what a sidearm is for? Quick ROF with medium range?

I never thought of that until you pointed it out, Ompa! Thanks.

Oh, the possibilities of modding for Hasbro's new guns......

Edit: Oh yeah, and Spaztic, your disc may not be defective. Try making sure you can select "Yes" and "No" from the options at the end of the agreement screen. If you select no, the DVD will reset on you.

IX-6 looks like a Tek Six. Very similar.
I like the look of the NF.

Oh my God, I just realized it. Hasbro really is attempting to attach a whole arsenal together. It's just like Groove's friggen comic! Remakes of guns that can now attach onto the N-Strike? Jeeze...

Ompa, I think your onto something.
Chances are there will be more of these guns. With the possibility that you can customize your gun. Perhaps there will be another gun that can replace the Hornet? So that you don't just have the original Power System. Thats why theres a bridge thing on the new NF. This N-Squad stuff is starting to make sence.
Just think, you're Unity Power system can have different guns instead of the ones it comes with.
Hmm... I could just be brainstorming though. <_<

Keep in mind the revolver thing also has a rail mount on the slide <_< . Oh the possibilities! This could be incredible! Of course, the base of it all would be the titan... By the way, think of it- if they released 2 pistols that may attach to the Titan, they would probably have to release some rifles that would attach to the bottom as well. But I'm probably just getting my hopes up.

By the way... is it just me, or is the NF a bit "squished"?

The rails on the NF were the first thing I noticed.

Probably because I'd been planning on ripping the slide off the Scout and sticking it on a NF anyhow. Might as well take advantage of their rail system with a decent pistol.

Nice observation about the rails. It does looks like there will be much more to come from hasbro. Now, all that rail system needs is a Surefire. Or I guess I could settle for a nite finder.

No, I meant surefire. Surefires are extremely bright litium powered flash lights than can be mounted on some real guns as well as airsoft guns. Here's an example of a regular Surefire flashlight: http://www.airsoft12...ore1/SF-M6.html

It would be cool if nerf continued to manufacture their guns with rail systems; it could really change the rof without any mods needed.

Oh my, ATB, that actually does seem very likely. I forgot about the PC re-release a long time ago... probably because it took so long. That would work perfectly too, the Titan could definatly pump it up using the new system, but the internals would have to be reworked a wee bit.

I'm excited.

Too bad N-Strike isn't availible in Canada.

I dont own a N-strike, but it looks like a PC would be fairly clumsy to use if attached to the titan, if you have a missle loaded on the titan/a longer barrel on the titan, and you try to replace/reload the PC clip....It just seems like it would be hard to do.

That makes sence. Not to mention the clip moves up when firing.
Maybe the clip will be on the side of the gun, while the rail is on the opposite side of the gun. So its not perfectly in the middle. <_<
Hmm, this is a toughy. Not to mention we could all be wrong. But think of the possibilities...
