Hey guys! I found a very cheap type of knock-off Nerf dart on Amazon. They are $17.59, for 400 darts (unbelievable!). I looks as if they have a hole in the dart tip, and are soft.

From this picture we can see they have holes.

What do you think?

Nice find! They look pretty good. They are cheaper than most full length darts I've seen. Have you ordered some to test?

I found 600 darts on ebay, brand new, for $22 and they have no hole in them. Link           600 pcs Blue For NERF N-Strike Kids Toy G...   I know, thats a lot of darts.

Thanks! I haven't bought them yet, but I might.

Those are probably FJVs, and are banned at most Nerf Wars. (FJV: Full Jacketed Vinyl, have solid tip and no hole in the tip of the dart. They really sting when you are shot with them.)

That perfect for my cousins who don't call their hits. Edit, also, if the hole is not there, it would be more accurate, right.

Right. Problem is, if they don't have a hole anywhere then they cannot compress, causing-yup, you guessed it- pain.

Yes pain is fine, but those kinda dart aren't allowed at "official" wars because of that fact, so it would be something to keep in mind if you purchased them.

Those look very similar to something that was reviewed by Drac on youtube recently. Also from Amazon. Those had a hole. I believe they are called Voberry darts.  If they have no hole and a solid Tip we call them FVJ's which actually don't sting too badly. For those of you who care look up the test NOBACON did on youtube.

Just received my order so I'll give a short review on it.

Pros:

1) Same length as regular Elite darts

2) Cheap price: 400 Homdox darts for $17.59 as opposed to 200 Koosh darts for $20.00

3) Fast shipping: Delivered in 9 days through Amazon

4) Soft head: HvZ and NIC legal. Note, the head is slightly squishier than Elite darts because the tip has thinner rubber.

5) Slightly stiffer foam

Cons:

1) Less accurate and more fishtailing than regular Elite darts due to : lighter weight and larger "whistle hole"

2) I don't have access to a chronograph but I've noticed a slightly slower FPS. Reviewers on Amazon also reported lower than average FPS compared to Elite darts

In short, if you have a HvZ game coming up in less than a few weeks, buy these cheap, slightly-lower-than-average-performance darts.
