To add to points #3, you can get substantial ROF and FPS by installing a 6 cell NiMH or NiCd battery pack and avoid having to do any rewiring or motor swapping.
A '6 cell NiMH or NiCd battery pack' would start at 9 volts and go down from there. So a LiPo doesnt compare to that and this adds onto my next point:
Apparently using a 2S LiPo is too much for a stock Rapidstrike and will cause the themister (sp?) or some other wiring do-hicky to shut it down, although I cannot personally verify this.
A 2 cell Li-Po battery is 7.4 volts. So in theory, your homemade 6 cell pack would cause the thermistor to shut the circuit down before a 2s LiPoly battery. Except I might be totally wrong because 'Thermistor' is defined as something that shuts down when at a certain temperature.

1. Go to a hobby shop, but usually RC shops have more of a range.

3. You should buy new motors if you want great performance without your motors burning out. A rewire of your blaster would also be needed if you want to upgrade your batteries to LiPo's. If you are new to wiring and such, it would be much easier if you bought an upgrade kit, and go from there. (Complete with motors, or Complete without motors)

Edit: The links provided are for an Australian seller, you can find American, or wherever closest by googling about upgrade kits
