OK I don't know if i'm the only one who saw this but on ebay a hailstorm is being auctioned off. It looks just like a lightnin blitz, and everything on the box is in french. Is there any special value to this, because i need a lightnin blistz anyway?

That's funny as hell. At first I thought someone was auctioning a piece oh hail. But then I realized that you weren't being sarcastic and so I checked it out myself.
Yeah, I'd buy it, for around $5 or in that range.
I had the chance to buy one for $5 at TRU, and I fucking let it go. I'm so pissed.
But yeah, that gun can have some crazy mods. Go for it!

The hailstorm is exactly the same as the lighning blitz. For some reason, Hasbro decided to give it a different name in Europe though, hence the hailstorm. There are no differences in the actual gun. There used to be a nerfer in England called Dr. Genius or something, back in the NerfOnline days who mentioned this I believe.

It was on nerfonline as a previewed airjet gun. Upon release, we all relized it was renamed lightnin' blitz. This section also previewed the wildfire as a 5shot mega dart shooter.

probably because in england "the blitz" refers to the carpetbombing of london by the nazis. not exactly a favorable connotation for a toy.
to add to that, the nazi tactic "blitzkrieg" means 'lightning war'.

I thought the name had something to do with culture but I never knew the specfics. What okto said makes perfect sense, likke how they renamed a past chevy trcuk in mexico, because in spanish it meant "doesn't run"
