I'm Thinking about making a Central Maryland Nerf Club or C.M.N.C. for short. We'll be in the Frederick area but I want to see if any other people would be interested, since I haven't heard of a group in Frederick.

 

Edit: Alternate location to Walkersville park? obviously within walking distance.

YAY I've never hosted a Nerf war before but I have my parents support. Where in Frederick county (Any farther and I can't Host) should I host it.

What game types are you thinking? What rules/restriction? I'm thinking Walkersville park for the location, but what age group are we going for? I'm thinking at least 10+ so we don't have young kids running around but my sister would like to participate. Ideas?

I also have a couple of friends who I know how would be interested in joining but I have to ask would we doing SAMBO (stock ammunition modified blasters only)or would we doing more NIC. Personally I would enjoy both of these styles a lot!

What about stock blasters and ammo? I haven't finished any of my gun mods yet solid either have to bring something stock or supply my own ammo and borrow a modded gun.

I was thinking something similar to SAMBO but stock blasters allowed. I'm thinking no homemades or stephans allowed, so new people can play too without fear of getting hurt. +3 here: Me and my two boys and we're in Frederick!!! We're pretty heavy into Nerf with lots of modded blasters. Just chrono'd a 180 Stryfe on 2S lipo today at 115 ft/sec using koosh darts.

If your looking for game types. There are plenty of examples here on the forum. This link

supersock is a great option when playing in a public place.

 

Most of the dyi class (homemade/steffin blaster) wars set the age at 13. But with it being a superstock war, as host it would be up to you. But I would say under 13 should have a parent or family member with them.

Thanks for the link beaker only, and I never thought about the fact of being under 13 and having the parent/family member is a PERFECT idea.

 

WolfPlayer what are the motors called? I'm thinking about modding a Stryfe and painting it like Drac's Quaser Stryfe.

We're currently using the normal Blade 180 motors. That said - I'm in contact with Xtreme Production and we're upgrading to the Xtreme Pro 180's as soon as they are back in stock. We'll install those in both the Stryfe and the RapidStrike along with Dr. Snikkas' aluminum flywheel cage. The RapidStrike is really a beast with 180 motors all around. I can't imagine what it's going to be like on Xtreme Pro motors with the upgraded cage and flywheels.

He quoted me 80 euros shipped from Germany.  I 'put in my order' with him (email conversation) on January 14th and am still waiting to hear back from him that the cage/flywheels are ready to ship.  My son wanted to build a RapidStrike that had the best of everything so we opted to contact Andre (Dr. Snikkas) to make this happen.  It's expensive - but when you're going all out .... I guess you're going all out - lol.

If our going all out that's definitely the way to do it. I'm personally working on 2 nerf and 1 boomco mod right now and hit a inspiration wall.

Ok how should I carry my Ammo/ Guns. I'll be using a Stryfe as my primary and a Hammershot as my secondary. I will most likely use a sling for the Stryfe. What class would I fit under?
