A question that came up to while planning, how far are you willing to go for nerf events. Does this increase if its multiple events stacked together, or a the size.
Please indicate time, money and distance.

For instance,

I usually go to NIC (A.K.A. DIY Class) and Superstock wars. I prefer people shooting back at me, and most wars I attend are NIC type as those interest me.
-I spend an average 30$ traveling to a war, (NENO) from New York City to Conneticut, New Haven (85ish miles). This is due to using public transport, and generally takes me 2-4 hours from my house. [NIC Wars averageing 10+ people]
-I would be willing to spend up to 4 hours traveling to anywhere by car (200 miles), and try to spend under 40$ a war. [Any size war] HOWEVER would be open to spending an extra 1-2 hours (300 miles) for a multi day event/nightwars and 50+ people

I'd go pretty far if the event was worth it. The cost would have to be reasonable depending on the method of travel, usually I don't spend over $10 getting to local wars, although the last war had a high attendance fee due to the indoor venue we rented. In terms of distance, I'd go across the country, or even across the border and across the US for a war.

I would travel 8 hours max to get there but it had better be a damn good war, however that is how far i would go, but my parents are not going to take me to a war more than 2 hours away :(

I would drive up to 3 hours to get to an event. Living on Long Island, you kind of have to drive an hour just to get past NYC, which is why the New England/ philly war scenes are kind of my soft boundaries.

That being said I am working out my attendance to the Recon event in chicago. If it's a big enough event and I can afford it, I'll go. The Plains airsoft was a good example, where a couple of us got a hotel and crashed the night before.

I have flown 8 hours away, driven 12 hours away, and hosted a war 3.5 hours away.  I've nerfed in LA, Chicago, Boston, Washington DC, Toronto, Pittsburgh, Philadephia, and all over New Jersey.  That having been said, I wouldn't travel much more than an hour to go to a nerf war alone.  I usually go on road trips with friends or visit people I'm close with in the course of traveling for nerf.

For me driving alone, any super stock war within 2 hours (each way) of me I will go to. And possibly up 3 hours and up under the right situation. I would be willing to spend extra money for a hotel for multi days/events or better yet a scenario war.

I have traveled five hours to get to COSTCOH and to NOMNE, as Georgia wars are the closest wars to me. I got up at 4:45 am to drive to COSTCOH, and would do it again in a heartbeat. Much further than that, and it would have to be a pretty big/special war, or multiple wars in a week.

Its depentant on the war a guess. The first real war was was like 30mins from me. But, I drove to West Virginia to camp for 3 days and nerf for about an hour (was not the only thing in the days events, just one of many). That was for all purposes a stock class war. Plains was a 2 hour drive and the blasters were a mix.

I most likely would be willing to drive further for a "higher powered" war. Two plus hours to just stock war and their had better be more to it. Like in door areana or something other than a small local park. Probably feel like a waste if time and gas (and a sleepless night if war pre).

I exclusively go to wars that are >300mi away from me. Anything closer and I don't even bother. All of the wars in the past 3 or so years that I have attended have all been no closer than 300 miles.

EDIT: There was a superstock HvZ event that was only 150 miles (one way), but I don't know if that counts, as nobody was firing darts at me

How far am I willing to go? Usually, at a Nerf war, I limit it to second base, maybe third if they've earned it.

Pretty much all I have access to in my immediate area is superstock, which I'm only mildly interested in, so for the most part, I'd be willing to travel at least 4 or 5 hours for a decent war.  If I had the money for flights, I'd be totally willing to travel even farther (<400mi) for large (20+ person) wars.
