In the top right corner of every topic, next to the 'Post Reply' button, you should now see a link that says 'Image Archive'.  In threads where images are linked from another site, such as imageshack or photobucket, this link will lead to a directory of images which were saved by the automatic image archiving script.  This script ran from April 2015 until November 2015 when the site was upgraded and it become possible to upload images directly to NerfHaven.  Unfortunately, any embedded image that has been broken since before April 2015 or was posted after November 2015 will not appear in that list.

Due to a change in Imageshack's policy, pretty much all images linked from there will now be broken.  I am working on a solution that will seek out these image links in old posts and replace them, but it may be some time before I get around to completing it.  In the meantime, just click the "Image Archive" link and open the images manually.  Thanks for your patience.

I emailed imageshack about all of my old pictures from write ups way back from 2008-2011 and they told me they were gone forever, is it possible that those images might still be cached somewhere?
I'd love to help if that's even slightly possible.

Yeah, they probably have all of them on a server. Just contact your friendly top-tier gray-hat hacker to get them.

What?!? No! It's very possible they don't have them, either they got overwritten, the company changed hands/went through a disaster and deleted/lost the images, or that the user account got lost/didn't exist and with it the picts.

Your best bet is finding them on some other site that cached them, like Wayback or a blog or something. But if they are telling you they're gone from their server, unless you can get access to the actual harddrive they were kept on, they're probably gone for good. Even if you can get the harddrive, 5 years is a long time to try a disc recovery on, even when you're not talking about a server disc.

Langley, I did an image backup in 2014, and it appears to be on the root of the NH server in a file called "nh_images.zip". Probably is worth checking out for images lost in the interim. I don't have the time to look at it right now, unfortunately. I also don't recall saving the images in a particularly logical format. I imagine they were all just put in one directory, and if I wanted a broken image I'd match the filename. There could have been conflicts.
