Curious how the homemade version would do keeping dirt and stuff out of it. It looks like a very exposed system, and when in half you'd get stuff in the plunger tube, and no matter what it seems like the back is open so you can you'd get some stuff back there too.

Overall it looks great, I'd love to use + add flathead machine screws (I like the way they look)

Next up: Replace lower stock rod with 3/4" OD Aluminum tube, and then dye some of the parts different colors.
